7 DURABILITY AND COMFORT Finite Element Analysis, (FEA) validates the strength and performance of our aerial design by monitoring stress points for material efficiency. This allows Spartan to maintain specific manufacturing standards. The aerial design has also undergone strain gauge analysis testing verifying the structural integrity and compliance with NFPA design standards. OPTIMIZED ENGINE TUNNEL The optimized engine tunnel* increases the hip room for the driver and officer seating location, while also increasing the rear crew floor space behind the engine tunnel. All of this is accomplished without increasing the width of the 99 cab. 9 PATENTED ROLLER ASSISTED SLIDE PAD (RASP) The RASP is a greaseless ladder technology that reduces friction and stress on the ladder in the field. As a result, our aerials require less service down time and provide smoother operating performance. OUTRIGGER LASER GUIDES Laser guides provide a visual representation if your apparatus is clear to set-up and also marks where to place your outrigger pads before extending. PATENTED LIFT CRADLE Lower the ladder to -10 below horizontal. AERIAL SWEEP 240 The aerial body design paired with the ladder lift cradle, allows the ladder to sweep an entire 240 when the aerial is lowered to -10 below horizontal without interfering with the body. DUAL SWING DRIVE Provide smooth rotation and less backlash. INNOVATIVE OUTRIGGERS Level on slopes up to 10 and set-up on a severe terrain, without sacrificing storage. This innovative outrigger design is pin less allowing for quick set-up and stowing operations.
