3 PERFORMANCE Evolving, to continue providing always better responses also for those who work under particularly difficult conditions, such as in quarryyard: This is our mission. From this engagement Trakker was born, a vehicle designed according to the new customer requests and tested to satisfy all types of needs due to a still wider range of products and completely new comfort. The cab has been renewed, its equipment enriched, ergonomics and comfort improved. The objective is providing, with Trakker, a perfect combination of sturdiness and reliability and at the same time giving more weight to driving quality and onboard life. Customers want, from a quarry and construction vehicle, performance and productivity, but also comfort and responses in perfect agreement with their needs: Trakker is the right choice. It has the widest range ever and allows customers to customise the vehicle for every specific mission. It has been designed to facilitate every type of equipment. It provides safety of Cursor engines that guarantee power and resistance. It ensures an ideal working environment, with three cab versions among which to choose according to the need: Active Day Low Roof, Active Time Low Roof and Active Time Medium Roof. This is why Trakker is the solution you were looking for. It is in the most difficult working situations that the value of a vehicle is discovered.

4 Cab quality has been designed following suggestions, needs and advices provided by salesmen and customers. The result is a vehicle that ensures, in difficult quarryyard uses, more driving comfort, a major element for productivity and safety. The efficient air conditioning system and the acoustic insulation of the new cab guarantee an absolutely excellent onboard life quality also in very difficult working places and situations. It is available in three versions: short, long and long with medium roof. A working environment that, also in short cab Active Day version, provides wide room behind the driving seat. A very functional room, for clothes hanger hooks, central storage compartment module with tablewriting surface and, upon request, a possible third seat. 5 AD Cluster The monochromatic screen with white backlighting, in order not to fatigue the eyes, displays vehicle parameters: average speed, fuel consumption, travel times and all maintenance conditions Controls Radio and onboard computer keys are placed on the steering wheel. Under the steering wheel, a steering column stalk groups the controls related to vehicle speed: regulator, engine retarder and, upon request, hydraulic retarder on transmission AT YOUR COMMAND Those who choose Trakker immediately see and appreciate one of its aspects: driving quality. All cabs allow every driver to find his ideal position due to the steering wheel adjusting system and due to the pneumatic seat that can be adapted to the driver s weight and sliding in its length, adjustable in its height and inclination. All functions can be displayed on cluster and all commands are well visible and can be easily reached to allow controlling the vehicle under absolute safety. Vacuum engine brake, hydraulic retarder, radio, cruise control drives are in an ergonomic position, and can be actuated without moving hands away from the steering wheel. Electric windshield wiper controls are placed on the armrest on door side, together with defrosting pushbuttons and, upon request, electric adjusting pushbuttons for rearview mirrors. The electronic tachograph is placed above the windscreen, beside the radio with double controls on the steering wheel and station display on the cluster display, to reduce to a minimum possible driving carelessness. The floor is coated with a new material, more resistant to use and easier to wash; the dashboard is made of softtouch and scratchpreventing materials. The passenger compartment is distinguished for its room functionality: the upper cross member houses numerous storage compartments and other compartments can be found in the doors. In case of the need for the driver to sleep on board of the vehicle, Trakker proposes the Active Time cab, where the sleeping area ensures relaxation and rest. Active Time cab is 1.82 m high and provides one or two bunks. Full of compartments and storage compartments, rich with arrangements that privilege ergonomics and provide space and quality to onboard life. Storage compartment The bunk is composed of three elements capable of being lifted. The central one, 82 cm wide, becomes a comfortable bench under which a bottleholder, a documentholder pocket and, upon request, an isothermal or refrigerated container can be placed 10

Trakker is a clear proof of this: its style is evolved, its line cannot be confused, its appearance is aggressive and modern. It is a vehicle that leaves space to aesthetic, but never like an end in itself since functionality is its integral part. The new wider grille, with bigsized grid, provides all advantages to the cooling system. Cab lines allow more easily cleaning the vehicle. Lights are integrated and protected. The two external storage boxes are new and practical, have wide sizes and are equipped with internal lighting. Quite useful is the radiator protection, made of superresistant steel. On the front side, the Iveco and Trakker are positioned to make more space for the customer s logo, drawing more attention to the name of his Company on the vehicle. The lower part of the bumper is bevelled and houses the footboard that allows the driver to clean the windscreen. The cab access is also much easier, due to handles and access steps with antiskid surface. 10 ENGINES CURSOR ENGINES, POWER AT WORK The Cursor 13 power unit is the heart of Trakker. The engine is designed to guarantee outstanding performance, low running costs and superior driving comfort, it covers a range of powers from to HP. The 6 cylinder in line layout with overhead camshaft and rear distribution ensures compact dimensions, a reduction in the number of components and, above all, a great structural stiffness; contributing factors are a onepiece cylinder head and a lower block including seven crankshaft mountings in a single part. The result: fewer vibrations, less noise and assured flexibility of operation in all circumstances benefit comfort and power unit durability. Every detail of the Cursor engines has been designed to ensure top efficiency. Pistons with aluminium crowns promote fast heat dispersion, the smooth liners and piston ring configuration keep friction very low. The four valves per cylinder ensure extremely efficient air intake and combustion gas exhaust. The Cursor engines are also remarkably wellsuited for all types of driving. The maximum torque is available from low speeds (around 1000 rpm) and stays constant throughout a wide service range. This condition aids hill starts at full load, preserves the clutch and ensures flexibility and low noise levels, few gear changes and low fuel consumption. CEB The Combined Engine Brake (fitted on and HP Cursor 13) is an enhanced engine brake that has two effects: vacuum and braking torque. By means of a throttle valve on exhaust manifold, it creates an exhaust gas counterpressure useful to slow down engine revs and to increase braking power. vgt The HP Cursor 13 power unit features the Variable Geometry Turbine (VGT) which is currently the only one on the market suitable for heavy road transport. This type of turbocharger makes a significant contribution to the high performance of the engine and gives more brilliance and more pickup. The VGT employs an electronic control to adapt the characteristics of the turbocharger to the engine revs; thanks to a movement system coaxial to the impeller, the turbocharger adapts to the volume of entering exhaust gases, allowing permanent monitoring of the speed and thus increases the pressure which is closely linked to the power and torque delivery. The VGT also improves the performance of the Iveco Turbo Brake vacuum engine brake (ITB). CURSOR 13 Ideal for heaviest duties, in most difficult environments and under hardest conditions. 11 GEARBOES MANUAL GEARBO The range of gearboxes offered on Trakker Active Time and Active Day were designed to offer to the customer excellent ergonomics and the best solution for his professional needs, according to the type of vehicle chosen. Gearboxes offered are of two types: manual and automated. The ZF 16speed manual gearbox is equipped with the servoshift power assistance system which guarantees comfortable and safe driving thanks to quick and accurate gear engagements. This manual gearbox responds perfectly to the vehicle mission, it is extremely reliable and helps to increase productivity and efficiency of the vehicle but requires very low maintenance costs. EUROTRONIC AUTOMATED GEARBO In addition to traditional manual gearboxes, Trakker provides all the technologic excellence of Eurotronic automated gearboxes, that improve driving ergonomics since they are equipped with a gearbox lever integrated in the steering wheel. They have a fully automatic and a semiautomatic mode: the driver chooses, depending on different situations. The Eurotronic ZF 16speed gearbox with electronic clutch control provides high driving comfort and numerous other advantages for the customer: the automatic logic applies the principles of economic driving to select the ideal ratio, protecting the gearbox against overrevving, and reducing clutch wear, consumption and noise. The Eurotronic gearbox ensures that the engine always works in the range in which fuel consumption is the lowest, enhancing safety and driveability, so that the driver can concentrate all his attention on the road. 12 BRAKES, FRONT ALES AND REAR ALES FRONT ALE Brakes Disk or drum type on front axles and duoduplex type drum brakes on rear axles. For AWD models, duoduplex drum brakes on all wheels A FORCE THAT GIVES SAFETY Descents with strong slope and with fullload vehicle: it is in these situations that Trakker is subjected to hard tests and confirms its qualities. The vacuum engine brake of Cursor engines, connected to variable geometry turbine or CEB (Combined Engine Brake) allows slowing down the running and reducing the service brake use, thereby limiting the consumption of system wear elements. Trakker is further equipped with a control system integrated with all braking devices. Partial traction vehicles use a front disk brake or drum brake, electronically controlled by ABS, EBL systems (for optimising the braking power depending on load) and, upon request, the antiskid ASR system. The integrated control system allows operating with particular control logics of the braking system: engine brake and ZF Intarder retarder are automatically activated, to reduce service brake wear and guarantee vehicle slowing depending on running conditions. Front axle and rear axle sturdiness is added to braking system efficiency and to axleratio ample range, perfect answer to all the needs of heavyduty site haulage. Long ratios are advisable for less demanding missions, short ratios for more demanding applications and on routes with strong slopes. 13 SUSPENSIONS SEMIELLIPTIC ELIMINARE SPECCHIETTO CAMBIARE MARCATURA CON PARABOLIC A STABILITY THAT IS USEFUL Chassis reliability and strength have always been innate characteristics of Iveco vehicles, and are still more evident in Trakker. Trakker frames are made of double bottleneck longitudinal members with Ushaped crosssection in Fe E 490 steel. They are available in two different thicknesses and are the ideal frame for travelling on every type of grounds and loads and for operating also in the worst situations.
