We take the time to examine all working mechanisms and clean/lubricate the necessary parts. Not only do we inspect the OSHA required items, we also examine items that commonly cause problems over a long period of time. 9 BREAKDOWN SERVICE & REPAIRS We understand the frustration caused by broken down equipment. This is one of the primary reasons why emergency breakdowns are of the utmost priority. Our response time to emergency breakdowns is quick and efficient to ensure the least amount of downtime for your equipment. Repairs From Inspection Once inspections are completed and reported, we will provide you with a quote detailing all items in need of repair and a competitive price to resolve all issues reported. We recommend that all issues reported be resolved within four weeks to comply with OSHA regulations. To do this, you can schedule your repairs through your MyHCR account online or by contacting your YorkHoist sales representative. 24/7 Emergency Service Have a bridge crane break down during third shift, a hoist chain jam over the weekend, or a pendant malfunction during peak production time? 11 LOAD TESTING SERVICES Crane Load Testing & Certification Each YorkHoist service technician has the ability to perform an onsite or offsite load test for any of your hoists and cranes. Each tested crane and hoist will have a certificate of testing which includes the serial number, capacity certification, and date of certification. Below-The-Hook Device Testing & Certification All below-the-hook testing can be performed onsite or offsite at one of our locations. This includes load bars, spreader bars, specialized lifting hooks/grabs, coil lifters, pallet lifters, and more. Each service technician has the ability to test hook devices with capacities exceeding 100 tons. Load Testing Requirements Prior to initial use of all new cranes, extensively repaired cranes and altered cranes, each one should be tested by or under the direction of a certified crane company. The test loads shall not be more than 125% of the rated load, unless stated otherwise by the manufacturer. The test reports shall be placed on file where readily available to appointed personnel. 7

12 BRAKE SHOE RELINING & REBUILDING Brake Shoe Relining Our service technicians have the ability to reline most types of brake shoes. By performing the reline, only the lining is replaced rather than the complete brake shoe. This reduces the overall cost and waste of materials. In addition to the standard reline service, we offer our fast ship brake swap program. This great program makes relining quicker for you. Rather than relining a brake for you, we simply send you a comparable brake shoe already relined to you. After you recieve a comparable brake shoe, send us your damage part and we will begin the maintenance process. This service is provided free of charge upon request. Brake Shoe Rebuilding With the ability to rebuild almost every type of brake shoe fit for cranes, we ensure quick and thorough repair from our experienced service technicians. Rebuilding typically benefits older cranes that sustain extensive wear and tear over a significant period of time. With a rebuild, only the necessary parts are replaced rather than the complete brake shoe. This precision rebuild reduces the overall cost and waste. 8

22 CRANES CRANE KITS A crane kit is simply a crane that is assembled by YorkHoist. We purchase the necessary kit from the manufacturer of your choice and assemble it locally. Because the hoist is assembled locally, you save on both assembly labor and shipping of the final product. Crane kits have capacities ranging between 1/4 ton tons. As with a traditional manufacture bridge crane, these cranes are a great option for applications requiring multi-directional movement and wide coverage areas. 23 HOISTS AIR HOISTS Air hoists are designed to provide continuous high-speed lifting, while generating relatively little noise. Air hoists have capacities ranging between 1/8 tons tons. CONCERT HOISTS Concert hoists are designed to provide reliable and safe lifting for the theater and performance industry. These hoists have a standard of over 60 ft. of lift, are designed for easy voltage changes, and operate at a reasonable noise level. 26 PENDANTS & REMOTES Multi-Function Pendant These pendant controls are designed to be used for multi-directional control such as up/down, east/west, north/south. Belly Box Remotes Belly box remotes are designed to easily control cranes with multi-directional travel and multiple speeds. The harness mount allows it to be attached to the operator ensuring the ability to use your hands for other tasks if necessary. Custom Remote System Custom remote systems are individually designed to meet your exact specifications. These systems have unlimited possibilities. Options such as range extenders, extended batteries, "pitch and catch", multiple crane or hoist control, and key access control can be achieved. Pendant Retractors Pendant retractors are a cost effective solution to raise and lower pendants. The typical use of a pendant retractor may require an employee to use the pendant in a pit or on a catwalk during part of the application. Single Function Remote These remote controls are designed to be used for single directional control such as up/down. They have the option to control single or multi-speed equipment. 31 SLINGS CHAIN SLINGS Chain slings are preferred for use in the most rugged conditions, where other slings would not survive. They are resistant to both abrasion and cutting and may be used at temperatures up to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) without reducing capacity rating. DRUM HANDLING SLINGS Drum handling slings provide an easy and inexpensive way to handle steel drums. They are available in two styles to suit your needs for handling drums vertically or horizontally. MESH SLINGS High tensile strength steel wire is formed into spirals and connected together with straight pins and brazing. Alloy steel triangle and choker fittings are connected to either end. ROUND SLINGS Round slings are endless synthetic slings made from a skein of polyester yarn covered by a double wall tubular jacket. The roundsling body can also be compared to sling webbing with the tubular jacket face yarns woven without binder yarns; this allows the core yarns to move independently within the jacket. 27

32 SLINGS SLING PROTECTION The number one cause of synthetic sling failure is cutting. When slings are cut, property damage and personal injury or death can result. Wear pads can help to reduce this problem by acting as a buffer between the load edge and the sling. TIE DOWNS Our tie down straps are of the highest quality. They offer the van and flatbed operator a wide variety of options to meet Department of Transportation and CVSA requirements. WEB SLINGS Web slings are lightweight, flexible and have wide bearing surfaces to help protect the load. Their stretch characteristics help to avoid shock loading problems. WIRE ROPE SLINGS High tensile strength steel wires are combined in various constructions to form ropes with specific characteristics. Standard constructions for slings are referred to as 6X19 or 6X36, designating the total number of wires being used. The greater the number of wires, the greater the flexibility and the lower the resistance to abrasion. BRIDLE SLING A bridle sling has three parts: a top lifting fixture, connector fittings at the bottom and various methods that join the top lifting fixture to the bottom connection points. 28

33 Lifting Devices COIL LIFTERS Coil lifters allow for easy horizontal to vertical upending of coils. They are efficient and easy to use, especially with small, lightweight coils. Allows for use in places where overhead clearance is limited. CUSTOM LIFTING DEVICES We can engineer and build custom lifting devices to meet your exact specifications and needs. This includes custom load bars, coil lifters, spreader bars, mechanical grabs, slings, and more. These devices have unlimited possibilities, are designed to be cost effective and are easy to install and use. FORKLIFT BOOMS There are three standard styles available. The fixed booms have a set horizontal reach, the telescoping booms have an adjustable reach, and the pivoting booms have a reach that is adjustable horizontally. LIFTING BEAMS Lifting beams allow for multiple pick points of the load for balance or support issues. Spreader beams have a top rigging that adds stability to the lift. Depending on your needs options such as remote readouts, overload protection, extended battery, and shock resistance are available. WINCH STRAPS The straps are soft and wide to prevent damage to cargo. They are lightweight and easy to handle. 35 VACUUM LIFTS VACUUM CLAMPING SYSTEMS Clamping technology offers solutions for machining or manual work. Vacuum clamps can be applied to the work piece without distorting it, as well as offering ergonomic positioning without having to re-clamp. Use the Multi-Clamp suction plate as a stand-alone solution which can be suctioned or bolted to the workbench surface, while the top clamps work pieces by vacuum. 43 ELECTRICAL CONTACTORS A contactor is an electrically controlled switch used for switching an electrical power circuit, similar to a relay except with higher current ratings. CONTROL PANELS Control panels are available in a wide range of sizes, are built out of durable steel casing, and can be customized to your individual needs. Factory standard control panels and custom built panels are available. CORD REELS Cord reels are a low cost power solution that are available in varying lengths and voltages. Cord reels can be used in place or in conjunction of electrification or festoon cable. Depending on the application the reel can be mounted to existing support such as a wall, floor, or ceiling. DISCONNECT BOXES Disconnect boxes are available in multiple voltages, built to last, and provide increased safety. These cables can be used for many applications such as powering an entire runway or connecting a pendant to a unit. INVERTERS Inverters allow for flexible speed control, controlled acceleration and deceleration, power current and temperature protection. Controlled acceleration and deceleration provides smooth starts and stops and lowers starting currents, reducing gear and motor wear and structural stress on mechanical components leading to longer equipment life. NRGmaster NRGmaster is a crane electrification system that supplies power to the hoist. It is an alternative to the crane festoon system. NRGmaster is for wire rope hoist cranes located indoors or outdoors-under roof. 40

45 ELECTRIFICATION Electrification is a safe and economical method to provide electric power to mobile equipment. Electrification is available in six types which are listed below. SAFE-LEC 2 CONDUCTOR BAR The new standard in overhead crane electrification. It is ideal for monorail and material handling system electrification as well. HEVI-BAR II CONDUCTOR BAR Heavy-duty bars are for high-capacity cranes typically located in places such as large factories, mills, storage yards, and other rigorous applications. INSUL 8 8-BAR CONDUCTOR BAR The 8-Bar electrification system has become the industry standard. These bars are available in special options, such as curved bar and corrosion resistance. SIDE-CONTACT CONDUCTOR BAR Side-Contact Bars are ideal when there is insufficient room for standard bottom-entry mounting. SAF-T-BAR SERIES C CONDUCTOR BAR The contact surface ensures positive tracking of the collector shoe and ensures good contact throughout the travel of the system. 46 FESTOONING Cable festoon systems provide a means of power distribution for traveling equipment such as a hoist or crane. Depending on your needs there are four types of festoon products available. Each type has its individual benefits and uses. WIRE ROPE CABLE TROLLEYS For light energy supply systems with 1-3 cables. For applications which do not allow for the installation of C-rails. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. C-RAIL CABLE TROLLEYS As an energy supply system from light to heavy design. C-rail systems are used for very different applications: crane manufacturing hoist units, conservation technology, special engineering, ect. SQUARE RAIL CABLE TROLLEYS Energy supply systems on square rail (diamond track) are predominately used on circular and curved tracks or in extremely dusty environments. These systems guarantee a perfect function even on variable levels. I-BEAM CABLE TROLLEYS Conductix-Wampfler festoon systems carry flay and round cables for the transfer of electrical energy and data. Hoses are also carried for directing fluids, air, or gases. 42
