1 CASCAD Decontaminating Chemicals The CASCAD decontaminant contains special surfactants that even pull agents out of paint to ensure they are completely destroyed. CASCAD has been tested against live agents in the field and in the laboratory to verify its effectiveness. The ability to offer decontamination of a typical armoured battalion in under four hours, using seawater if necessary, with a decontaminant that although it has minimal environmental impact kills all known Agents quickly and effectively, is unmatched by any other known system. The CASCAD system is easy to transport and set up, and Vanguard can provide training in all aspects of its use, either in Canada or at the users facility. Vanguard stands ready to work with it's Customers to optimize the system to meet their special needs, as required, and to provide the necessary equipment, spares and support to ensure the it's success in the Customer's service. The use of a relatively benign decontaminant, combined with a low pressure application system, means that CASCAD offers the ideal solution to the problems inherent in decontamination of modern combat aircraft. CASCAD's unique ability to use salt water to produce its sticky decontaminating foam provides an answer to naval decontamination needs, where either shipboard or dockside decontamination stations can be used to ensure complete coverage. The needs of Civil Defence and first responders can also be met with CASCAD, where the ability to use the system and it's foam to simultaneously decontaminate and fight fires, provides an unmatched speed of response and level of safety to Civil Defence agencies.

2 CASCAD Modular System The CASCAD Modular System is used for the application of both SDF and CASCAD levels of decontamination of equipment, vehicles, buildings and open areas. Additionally it can be used as an expedient solution for Class A & B firefighting. All components will fit through a standard doorway and can be operated anywhere with any type of water. The system is air portable or deployable from a small van, SUV, trailer or open vehicle, aircraft pallet or ship s platform. The CASCAD Modular System includes: A Dual Digital Foam Unit (DDFU) 18 H.P. portable water pump one 25 foot, four 50 ft and three 100 ft. hoses four 2 aerating nozzles (6 nozzle optional) three 3-way valves 300 gal. water reservoir with repair kit one mixer nozzle tool kit 12 volt portable generator (optional) CASCAD Decontamination Foam contains a proprietary foaming agent and decontaminating material that will encase a suspected CW or BW agent contamination site and then remove and destroy any agents present. CASCAD closes over the contamination to eliminate agent off-gassing and associated downwind hazards especially important when evaluating subsequent contamination sites or a series of vehicles where the line is oriented to progress in an upwind direction. For decontamination of various surfaces, CASCAD foam is easily applied and adheres to vertical or inverted surfaces. Its distinctive, thick appearance provides a clear indication of surface area coverage, allowing the user to be more time and material efficient. CASCAD has fire suppressant properties and can be used in the same manner as typical firefighting foams. The decontaminants present will destroy nerve agents, vesicants and biological agents.

3 CASCAD Universal Decon Module This CASCAD Decon System is a modular, heavy duty, self contained, mobile CBRN decontamination system, developed for military chemical and biological agent decontamination and radioactive particle removal missions for: Vehicles (Tanks,Trucks) Aircraft, Ships Equipment Terrain,asphalt, concrete Buildings,infrastructure This CASCAD system is fully self contained, packaged in a rugged MINI Military container, which is designed to be fork lifted onto transport pallets for C130 airlift, or inside standard ISO containers for transport by ship, or on flat bed trucks. For storage, the MINI containers can also be stacked to minimize space. The system can be readily tailored to accommodate user specific requirements. 6 Backpack Air Foam System The Backpack Air Foam System is a portable, self contained unit designed for performing emergency spot decontamination of chemical and biological agents on hardware, structural surfaces, terrain and drug labs. The Back Pack uses air pressure to force CASCAD decontaminant through a specially designed aerating nozzle to produce a thick, sticky foam which immediately encapsulates and suppresses vapour and dust hazards while killing chemical and/or biological agents. A single operator can carry the entire system on their back, and control the flow and direction of the foam. The Back Pack has been designed to be rugged and simple to operate and can be used, refilled and ready to reuse in minutes. 7 Air Foam Dolly System The Air Foam Dolly System is a lightweight, portable, selfcontained unit designed for both blast mitigation of standard or chem/bio devices and for chemical and biological decontamination. Combined with the 4 panel Universal Containment System, this system is capable of mitigating blasts of up to 1 lb of C4 plastic explosive. The Air Foam Dolly System is also used to perform SDF and CASCAD decontamination, with the ability to decontaminate an area up to 1400 sq ft. Using pressurized air to force chemicals from the liquid tank through one of two specially designed nozzles to produce foam, a single operator can control the operation of the system and the direction of the foam. The Air Foam Dolly System has been designed to be rugged, lightweight and simple to operate and is reusable. It can be set up and fully operational in under 5 minutes.
