4 Mini OBVAN All in one 4

5 Designed from ground-up to be able to undertake both live and post production requirements. The MINI OBVAN has dedicated separate video and audio production rooms inside with sound insulation from each other. This radical design allows end user to handle live and post production activities without compromise on audio side just like an OB- VAN based on a truck. The design improvements continue with integrated three phase 20 KVA alternator to the vehicle engine saving lots of space and reducing weight while delivering more power. Our unique design allows a total of 7 operator positions inside the vehicle. Thus you can have dedicated positions for Director, Video Mixer, REC/Playback, CG and Engineer in the video production room and Audio Mixer and Sound Assistant in the audio production room. The space dedicated to Engineering allows 6 main cameras with the option to go up to 8 cameras. Thanks to our radical design and careful selection of generator and air conditioner we are able to fit TX antenna from 120 cm up to 150 cm diameter as well as a smaller air return antenna. Together with its existing production capabilities this vehicle allows you to send only two vehicles to a broadcast site. Your MiniOB and your staff carrier. 7 For production requirements where our Mini OBVAN based on PANEL VAN is close but not enough either in operator positions, equipment to fit or carry we switch to base version of the same truck and build an expanding coach on it. Our Expanding Mini OBVAN provides up to 8 meters of total vehicle length and up to 8 operator positions. It can be fit for 8 cameras for comfortable use or up to 10 cameras for more complicated productions. The generator is driven through vehicles own engine and is hidden under the frame providing 20 KVA of three phase power with dual 10 KVA redundant UPSs to protect your live production. The air-conditioner system is designed specifically to have redundancy so no matter what happens you still can maintain cooling for the equipment areas. For cold days the vehicle is equipped with diesel based heating system so that during winter the operational area can be heated while equipment area is kept cold. Special care has been given to heat and sound insulation providing a comfortable operational environment. Cable drums and TP at the back provide convenient use and connectivity during production. There is also space for uplink antenna for upto 1.9 meters in diameter on the coach roof. 7

9 Our classical DSNG design follows the very long established best practices for the uplink vehicles. Our base unit is a panel van with high roof and 5,000 kg load bearing capablity. We divide the interior into two by placing the equipment racks directly above the wheels on the back. The area on the back is used for a super silent generator and fixed and portable cable drum storage. When the portable cable drums are removed you can easily access back of the racks. The operational area allows 3 operators to fit side by side on a large production desk. So you have space for an engineer for camera and uplink controls, a video mixer and audio mixer operators. This particular design targets middle eastern region thus it accommodates dual 18k BTU air conditioners on the roof as main units with two 9k BTU AHU s dedicated to equipment racks and two 9k BTU AHUs for the operational areas. With this setup it is possible to create a 1+1 redundant AC solution. The wall carpets below the desk area are chosen from highly durable materials and there are fastening hooks and clamps so that additional equipment can be loaded into the DSNG vehicle. 9

11 This vehicle has been designed for tough conditions with the ability to be fully self-sufficient. It has three dedicated areas for video production, audio production and cargo bay with TX antenna on top. The total truck length is between 8 meters to 9.5 meters depending on customer requirements. This design combines a Midi OBVANs operational space and adds the necessary cargo area for it together with TX and RX antennas. The generator is driven through vehicles own engine and is hidden under the frame providing 20 KVA of three phase power with dual redundant UPSs to protect your live production. The air-conditioner system is designed specifically to have redundancy when it comes to cooling down the equipment racks. And the same redundant design allows you to warm operational areas and still be able to cool equipment racks on cold days. Special care has been given to heat and sound insulation providing a comfortable operational environment. 11

13 This is special design for tough environments, where bad road conditions, extreme temperature changes and high humidity are part of everyday life. Where the normal tendency for OB-VANs of this size tends to be expending type, we have chosen a non-expanding coach structure to increase reliability under any circumstances. The operational area is divided into three rooms as Engineering, Video Production and Audio Production. Each area has it dedicated entry point for the vehicle as well as sliding doors inside for room to room access. The vehicle can accommodate up to 15 operators. The equipment area and the size of the Engineering Room allow camera quantities up to 18 although 12 to 14 cameras are more comfortable to operate for a vehicle of this size. The generator is driven through vehicles own engine and is hidden under the frame providing up to 35 KVA of three phase power with dual redundant UPSs to protect your live production. The air-conditioner system is designed specifically to have redundancy for all areas. There are four main units that for two redundant couples. First couple provides cooling for the equipment area and the second couple provides cooling or when necessary heating for the operational areas. Special care has been given to heat and sound insulation providing a comfortable operational environment. 13

15 This vehicle has been designed for tough conditions with the ability to be fully self-sufficient. The total truck length is between 11.5 meters to 12.5 meters depending on customer requirements. This design combines a Midi OBVANs operational space and adds the necessary cargo area for it together with TX and RX antennas. The generator is driven through vehicles own engine and is hidden under the frame providing 25 KVA of three phase power with dual redundant UPSs to protect your live production. The air-conditioner system is designed specifically to have redundancy when it comes to cooling down the equipment racks. And the same redundant design allows you to warm operational areas and still be able to cool equipment racks on cold days. 17 Single side expanding coach is a very typical coach design for broadcast applications. Our approach to this style is to bring additional functions without compromising operational space. One of our unique design features is utilizing PTO outputs of truck gearboxes to drive high power alternators through trucks own engine. By this approach we can utilize a space under the truck chassis and integrate generator function to the truck without losing space. This type coach provides comfortable operational space for 12 cameras and when needed can be loaded with 16 cameras as well. Having three independent operational areas with Audio and Technical having easy access to entry doors without needing to through video PCR reduces disruption to directors attentions and helps creating better shows. 17

19 This is our standard trailer type double expanding OBVAN design. The frame used in this built is the most common trailer with 130 cm clearance from the ground level. It provides the advantage of renting the tractor head with ease. The most common build length for this type of frame will be 12 meters which provides additional two meters in length as usable space compared to largest rigid trucks. Dual expansion provides a very large interior area which can be partitioned according to the users requirements. Similarly on a trailer design there is quite large space for AC, UPS, Power Distribution and Wall Boxes. This is ideal vehicle size for large live productions where large number of cameras and operational team will be needed. 19

21 We have long been designing and building trailer type OBVANs. Over the years we had accumulated experiences of various live and post productions. These gave us the opportunity to fine tune and evolve our designs. We are happy to reflect it and provide unique experience to our friends and customers in the industry. Our MEGA series uses the relatively new MEGA trailer sizes that provide nearly 3 meters of usable height above the trailer frame bed. Our usual approach for this size is having expansions on both side of the vehicle which effectively provides more than double the usable space compared to the OB- VAN s road mode. This is a category that is nearly always custom designed for each end user s special requirements. Thus the number of rooms, their layout, air-conditioning, generator UPS system are all shaped according to your exact needs. This category focuses on large production requirements such as live sports coverage with easily over 20 cameras and even simultaneous 4K and HD productions for the same event. 21

22 SRTEK s journey as a company started in 2009 as equipment supplier to professional audio and video industry where as the people inside started broadcast field back in the 1990s. Over the years supply turned into solutions and eventually solutions turned into manufacturing our own designs at our own factory. Today we do all our design and manufacturing in house having control over the whole manufacturing process. Over time we have experienced so many issues and problems together with our customers.
