SERVICE ACTIONS TESTED USING PROCEDURE # LOU-GED-IC3605EXCITER. FOUND UNIT DIRTY AND WITH MISSING FUSES, BROKEN BUS GROMMETS, HEAT SINK MOUNTS AND BUS MOUNTS. CIRCUIT CARDS HAD OLD ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS AND BEAD DIODES. DISASSEMBLED UNIT AND CLEANED ALL COMPONENTS. UPGRADED UNIT TO 150 AMP BY REPLACING SCRS, FUSES AND BUS BARS WITH HIGHER CAPACITY COMPONENTS. UPDATED CARDS REPLACING ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS, RESISTORS AND BEAD DIODES AND TESTED SEPARATELY. TESTS PASSED. UPGRADED GATE CARDS ADDING INPUT DIODES AND REPLACING UNIJUNCTION TRANSISTORS WITH NEWER TYPE. REASSEMBLED UNIT WITH NEW BUS BLOCKS, GROMMETS AND HEAT SINK MOUNTS. TESTED ASSEMBLY FOR PROPER OPERATION. TEST PASSED. INSTALLED NEW FRONT PANEL AND LABELED BUSSES.
