22 01 Travel & Comfort System tablet holder A real pleasure for passengers. This innovative tablet holder from the modular travel and comfort system range allows rear seat passengers to use a tablet conveniently and flexibly. It features a swivelling axis so that the tablet can be positioned both vertically and horizontally, and can be tilted and locked in place to keep it at the perfect angle. The Travel & Comfort System base module, which enables you to connect the tablet holder to a headrest, must be ordered separately (see page 69). 02 Volkswagen Genuine CarStick Create a Wi-Fi hotspot in your vehicle in seconds: simply insert a suitable SIM card1 into the Volkswagen CarStick and link it to the Discover Media navigation system, and you can start connecting as many devices as you wish to your own on-board Wi-Fi network. The CarStick can also be used to generate an internet connection for mobile online services (Volkswagen CarNet). Simply plug it into the vehicle's USB socket and off you go. Only for the T6, Caddy and Amarok. 03 PhoneKit Bluetooth hands-free system Enjoy your mobile freedom with the PhoneKit hands-free system. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth so you can keep your hands on the steering wheel while you talk. The system is operated via an illuminated 3-button remote control panel. This is the only visible part of the system and is easy to install into your vehicle. 04 Volkswagen Genuine LinkKit The LinkKit attaches to the centre console on the front passenger side and is compatible with a number of different mobile phones. The folding mechanism on the universal aerial coupling pocket ensures that the device is safely fixed in place but can still be comfortably removed by pressing the release button. The aerial connection on the pocket can be connected to a window aerial or external aerial. 23 Volkswagen DataPlug The Volkswagen DataPlug transmits real-time vehicle data to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Together with the Volkswagen ConnectedVan smartphone app, it can be used to display and analyse a wide variety of data. The 16-pin connector plugs into the vehicle s ODB 2 port and does not require a separate power supply. This means that the driver is always fully informed about the condition of their vehicle. Compatible apps such as Volkswagen ConnectedVan can be downloaded from the AppStore or Google Play store. Volkswagen's in-house crash tests are carried out at speeds and acceleration rates higher than those required by DIN 75302, ISO/PAS and the "City Crash" test because Volkswagen believes that its own "City Crash Plus" test at 30 km/h and with a 20% overload on the roof is more realistic 01 max. 100 kg than the standards set by DIN and ISO. The City Crash test simulates a rear-end collision in the inner city at a moderate speed of approximately 17 km/h. They can only be used in combination with C-rails on the roof of the vehicle. Four moveable rubber supports secure the kayak during transport. Strong tensioning straps ensure it stays firmly in place. 03 Volkswagen Genuine Comfort ski and snowboard holder The aerodynamically designed aluminium ski and snowboard holder is easy to install on supporting rods or roof bars. The practical pull-out function allows the ski holder to be loaded and unloaded with ease, while the extra-large opening buttons can even be used when you re wearing thick gloves. The rails and frame holder ensure that the bicycle falls into the correct position automatically. The power needed to hold the frame in place is adjusted via an innovative torque limiter rotary knob. Large, soft pads distribute the weight evenly and protect the frame. The wheels are fixed in place using diagonal retaining straps with quick-release fasteners. The bicycle holder is lockable and can be quickly moved from one side of the vehicle to the other with no additional tools required. The sets for the side walls and the loading surface each consist of two rail profiles and four lashing strap fittings. The rails can be used with a wide range of fittings including straps, cargo nets and roof bars. This enables cargo to be secured safely and without any risk of slipping around the cargo area. It has been adapted to the modern design of the new Volkswagen models and features an impressively sophisticated, pre-assembled quick-fastening system. Convenience and safety are very important during loading. Which is why the box is equipped with the innovative DuoLift system that enables it to be opened comfortably from both sides. Three tensioning straps inside the box prevent the load from shifting. The roof box is fitted with a theft-resistant 3-point central locking mechanism. With a length of up to 2.30 m (Comfort 460), it is ideal for transporting items such as skis and snowboards. The roof box is available with a capacity of 340 or 460 litres. See the price list for an overview of all available versions. 03 Volkswagen Genuine ski bag This practical ski bag can be used to protect and transport up to four pairs of skis, including poles, in the roof box or in the interior using a belt clipped into the belt buckle. 05 Urban Loader roof box The Urban Loader roof box with expandable load capacity provides additional cargo space and is perfectly suited for transporting shopping, bags, suitcases, pushchairs and sports equipment, along with many other everyday necessities. The capacity of the roof box can be quickly and easily increased to 500 litres when needed. The zip fastener enables it to be opened, loaded and unloaded on both sides. It is supplied fully assembled and is a space-saving option for transporting up to 4 bicycles on the tailgate. The intelligent design means that you can still open the tailgate easily, even when the carrier is installed (without bicycles). Bicycles can be individually positioned so that they are not touching using the movable mounting feet in the aluminium bicycle rails. The lockable frame holders can be removed individually and make loading the carrier much more convenient. The wheels are held firmly in place using the quick-action tensioner. With the aid of the large foot pedal, the bicycle carrier can also be folded downwards, even when loaded, so that the tailgate always remains accessible. The bicycles are fixed in place with lockable sliding spacers and a convenient ratchet system for the wheels. Folded down completely, the carrier can easily be stowed in the luggage compartment. The Compact III bicycle carrier for three bicycles is also available. A practical storage bag is included. The large distance between the rails means that the carrier is ideal for use with electric bikes. The attachment mechanism is very user-friendly simply place the carrier onto the towing hitch of your vehicle, push down the hand lever and lock into place. The innovative, removable spacers with anti-theft protection and quick-release fasteners make the carrier even easier to use. Equipped with the Volkswagen Genuine number plate holder and the easy-folding frame, the carrier can be quickly folded up and stored compactly. An extension set for transporting a third bicycle is available as an option (see figure 05). 06 Volkswagen Genuine loading ramp The loading ramp acts as a loading aid, enabling heavy bicycles to be easily rolled up onto the towing hitch bicycle carrier.
