1 IMSA TECHNICAL BULLETIN IWSC #16-03 One Daytona Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL P: +1 (386) To: From: IMSA TECHNICAL BULLETIN IWSC #16-03 REVISED All IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Competitors IMSA Competition Date: 20 November 2015 Re: IMSA Scrutineering Logger System for GTLM and GTD competitors This is a revision of bulletin # The restrictor throat pressure requirement is clarified, indicating that restrictor throat pressure sensors are only required on normally aspirated GTLM engines. Also included are some revisions to the Bosch Scrutineering System Manual: - Clarification on sensor numbering vs. left bank/right bank - Added restrictor pressure sensor wiring to schematic - Added notation on USB wiring length to schematic - Updated section 3.1, mating connectors - Updated LSU4.9 offer drawing - Added mounting information on IMU to section Added Throttle 2 to TEAM CAN Spec - Added order form to Appendix Due to the high volume of orders received by Bosch for the Scrutineering Logger System, allocation and distribution may be controlled by IMSA to insure that a complete system is provided to every GTLM and GTD entrant for the Roar. While we recognize that manufacturers and competitors want to have adequate spares, we need to make sure that each entrant has a complete system before we begin allocating spares. CAD files are available on request from Bosch Motorsport. As part of IMSA s persistent efforts to improve the data integrity and collection methodology fundamental to the success of our competition platforms, IMSA evaluated viable manufacturers and elected to mandate a new Bosch Motorsport system for IMSA is confident that this substantially improved equipment meets and exceeds our criteria for reliability, functionality and expandability. While IMSA recognizes the significance of the investment required by teams, IMSA is shouldering a significant portion of the cost associated with this new data collection program. The requirements and details of the new GTLM and GTD data system are found below: The following regulations will apply to all GTLM and GTD competitors starting at the 2016 Roar: Page 1 1. All GTLM and GTD cars will be required to run an IMSA GT Spec Scrutineering System. The system consists of: Bosch C60 Datalogger (P/N: F02U.V0U ) Bosch MM axis Inertial Measurement Unit (P/N: F02U.B ) Bosch LT2 Sport Lambda Sensor Controller (P/N: F02U.V0U ) GPS Unit (P/N: F02U.V0U ) MyLaps X2 Pro Plus Transponder To be provided by IMSA
