Created under the supervision of Edsel Ford, it came to life in an era when automobiles were not subjected to design by committee and thus conceptual purity could be maintained. There isn t a line out of place, nor a part that doesn t harmonize with the whole. Even though the basic design dates back to 1935, the 1939 Fords are smart, jaunty and still contemporary. The car is powered by an 85 hp, 221 ci flathead V8 and equipped a Columbia overdrive, dual sun visors, a roof mounted antenna and a leather and vinyl interior. The 2+2 designation was chiefly used for European sports cars with two rear seats added. The car is powered by a 376 hp, 421 ci V8 engine and is equipped with triple Rochester carburetors, a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 3:42 positraction rear end. It has power steering and brakes, bucket seats, center console, tachometer, tilt steering wheel, fender louvers and special hood and deck badges. The current owners acquired this car in 1988 after it ended its career as a drag racer after an accident that totaled it in It was stored until 2014 and then restored. The changes were revolutionary, both for the body (it was the first time Corvette offered a coupe) as well as the chassis. Its design incorporates a boat-tail taper reminiscent of sporting roadsters of the 1930s and (only in the 1963 model) a split rear window inspired by the Bugatti Atlantique and Bertone BAT. An independent rear suspension was also introduced that year, along with Hide-a-Way headlights. It is powered by a 340 hp, 327 ci small block V8 engine equipped with a four-speed transmission and Positraction. The Touring model uses 18 inch wheels and handsome skirted body color fenders. A small number were painted Chinese Red that really makes the bike stand out. The Vincent possessed unique features. Both axles were equipped with Tommy bars and fixed nuts allowing axles to be pulled with no tools. Double side stands on some models allowed for elevating the front wheel. The rear wheel is reversible, a sprocket on each side, to offer quick-change final-drive ratios if you wanted to gear down to pull a sidecar. Full tool kits were supplied and lived under the seat in a handy sheet metal pan. There was a time when a Vincent was just another used motorcycle, bought and sold several times over, and subject to decidedly non-concours treatment. This Vincent is 1 of 17 made. It has a complete numbers-matching engine, frame and crankcase. Powered by a 998cc, 2-cylinder engine. Durant in 1904 and by 1910 Buick was a major manufacturer. The company produced 29,425 units in the calendar year The midpriced Model 16 is powered by a 30 hp, 318 ci 4-cylinder engine equipped with a single Stromberg carburetor, 3-speed manual transmission and a multi-disc clutch. The four cylinders are cast in iron in pairs on top of an aluminum crankcase. It has a 3-speed transmission with a cone clutch. With the relatively light chassis, it had good power and performance for its size. The highly desirable Toy Tonneau was the sportiest tourer available. Its racy bodywork features an extended hood and the compact tonneau could be removed to convert the Model 16 into a roadster. It has a top and windshield. This example was found by its current owner in the 1990s at a farm in Nebraska. It remained unrestored until the current owner retired in Buick Coupe Robert & Susan Engelhart

Its lightweight, smaller body is powered by a 300 hp, 364 ci V8 engine (as used in the larger, heavier Roadmaster). The car s performance was such that it was known as the banker s hot rod and the California Highway Patrol ordered a huge number of Century hardtops for its fleet. This example is one of only 4,085 Century Convertibles built that year. It is equipped with a WonderBar radio, power steering, brakes and windows and a 6-way power seat. Many consider it to be the last of the classic Ferraris in that Enzo supervised the work. The Pininfarina-designed body, handcrafted by Scaglietti, is a graceful evolution of the car s predecessor. It incorporates mechanical improvements that increased performance, making it Ferrari s best grand tourer yet. It is powered by a 300 hp 3286 cc Colombo 60 V12 engine equipped with 4 camshafts and 6 Weber 40 DCN 9 carburetors. It is the first Ferrari with 4-wheel independent suspension and a rear-mounted 5- speed transaxle gearbox, which improves its handling. The 4-cam model has a raised hood, exterior trunk latches, upholstered dash, among other details. New, the car could do 0-60 in just over 6 seconds, with a top speed of 160 mph. It is more of a pure sports car than the GT name suggests. This example has only 35,000 original miles because much of its life was spent in a Japanese museum. This one-off car was built by Nuccio Bertone for himself. Unfortunately, his driving skills proved inadequate. This rare Vallelunga, designed by Carozzeria Fissore and with coachwork manufactured by Ghia, was named for the track where the Rome Grand Prix once raced. More than any other factory-fresh passenger car available here today, the Porsche 911 Carrera is the absolute embodiment of clench-jawed, tightfisted, slit-eyed enthusiasm run amok, enthused Car & Driver about the Carrera 3.2. The model fuses the talents of engine designer Giotto Bizzarrini and Gianpaolo Dallara who engineered the chassis. It was the first new Bentley model following Rolls-Royce s acquisition of the brand in The new model was designed to compete on quality and grace rather than the sporting reputation that had been the cornerstone of the pre-1931 Bentley company. The cars retained Bentley s famous curved radiator shape but in all meaningful respects they were Rolls-Royces. Rolls-Royce registered Corniche as a trademark in the 1930s but only used it for a production car first in It is a development from the Silver Shadow of the 1960s. Powered by a 215 hp overhead valve 6.75 liter fuel injected V8 engine equipped with a 3-speed automatic transmission, it is capable of 120 mph. The coachwork is by H.J. This Super Sport chassis especially engineered for touring and high-speed driving with top speed of 103 mph. Its 110 hp, dual overhead camshaft 2443 cc inline 6-cylinder engine has triple Weber carburetors and is equipped with a 4- speed synchromesh gearbox, with the shift lever on the steering column. While there are some technical similarities to the previous series, the models in this one have a longer wheelbase, larger exterior dimensions and updated styling. The 230 is powered by a carbureted 109 hp 2.3-liter inline 4-cylinder engine equipped with a 3-speed automatic transmission. This example is equipped with factory air conditioning, sliding sunroof and Europa AM/FM radio. It was delivered to the original owner in Germany in 1977 and imported into the US the following year. It remained with that family for 33 years until the current, third owner acquired it in 2011 after it had been in storage for more than 25 years. It was an instant hit owing to its modern, streamlined design and outstanding performance. 12,045 were produced from The current owner acquired it in 1994 and undertook a two-year restoration. This example has been modified for vintage racing with twin sandcast SU H8 carburetors and an enlarged intake manifold to increase horsepower, D-Type pistons for higher compression, an SS exhaust, race suspension and Brooklands windscreens with fairings. Since then this XK 120 has competed extensively in the Monterey and Sonoma Historics, CSRG and HMSA, and has participated in the California Mille and other vintage tours. It was a small and relatively inexpensive family car. The Kadett was reintroduced in the post-war period in 1962 to compete directly with VWs. The Sports Coupe variant are the rarest of this series, with fewer than 3,000 produced. It is powered by the Super Compression, 54 hp version of Opel s 993 cc overhead valve inline 4-cylinder engine and equipped with a 4-speed manual synchromesh transmission. This example is one of only three known remaining in the US. It retains its 6V electricals and specialorder upholstery. It was originally purchased by an engineer in Livermore in 1964 at Turner Buick in Hayward (CA). He passed it down to his daughter who blew up the engine while at college. He replaced the engine with one from a Sports Coupe once owned by Jack Lelanne of fitness and juicer fame.
