Drive Unit Powered by a Single Cylinder 14.5hp Briggs & Stratton Engine (Series 5; Series 3.5) / Twin Cylinder 16hp/18hp Kawasaki Engine (Series 6; Series 8), the Drive Unit is exceptionally quiet in operation, a feature particularly important in school settings. It is also low on fuel consumption, making this machine very green and economical to run. As we appreciate that on-site staff may not be familiar with driving machinery, the unit boasts a hydrostatic foot control transmission. This ensures even the most novice user will have no trouble in operating the unit, with clear forward and reverse pedals. Simply start the unit and push the pedal it really is that easy. Finally, at a width of only 97cm and height of 122cm it is very easy to manoeuvre, making it ideal for accessing small areas, yet it is powerful enough to cope with all your essential routine surface maintenance tasks.

Drag Mat (small*) Drag Brushing is the most common task required on a synthetic surface. The operation should be carried out at least weekly but more often if time allows. The process involves pulling a brush or mat behind a suitable grounds vehicle, and is performed to maintain a consistent distribution of infill. This heavy-duty rubber Drag Mat is ideal for this purpose, helping to agitate the carpet pile and even out the surface infill, resulting in a perfectly groomed finish. 3. Flexicomb** The custom-built attachment is again designed to be dragged behind the main Drive Unit. The Flexicomb houses a series of height-adjustable flexible polypropylene bristles. This allows the operator to adjust the height and therefore the tension of the bristles to penetrate into the surface pile. This process helps to reduce the ongoing compaction of the surface. 4. Using the flexibility of the polypropylene bristles they can be used to just agitate and brush the surface, allowing of the redistribution of the infill. However, by lowering the adjustable bar the bristles are tensioned and become more stiff, thereby allowing them to penetrate deeper into the surface, where they can help to Decompact the infill.
