Design The frames are manufactured in three types according to size (see designs 1 through 3). To sizes D = 200 are equipped with free reinforcement, which is welded where needed. For sizes from D = 1250 it is recommended to secure the frame attachments to the rebar within the wall partitions. Denotation Frame size D = 250 is labelled: Frame 250 KM Technical information The main proportions and general weights are given in designs 1, 2 and 3 and in table 1. 4 Attachment 1 to KM a 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 These are the instructions for the installation and use of tubular frames for piping group III (further as frames). The instructions contain safety precautions, supply, shipping, hand over, storage, installation, maintenance, disposal and guarantees. 1.2 The products specifications are detailed in the affixed label. 2 SAFETY 2.1 Safety is a condition of the quality of installation. 2.2 The frames must follow ČSN norms and during conductive connection be protected from static electricity. The materials used for such a conductive connection are 1 nut and bolt with 2 washers (on either end - see design 1 ). These NBW s must be zinc plated to prevent corrosion. The conductive connection flanges may be located arbitrarily along the pipeline. 2.3 Handling of the frames must follow the prescribed safety regulations. The frame is attached after the flange. PIPE NUT SEAL BOLT WASHERS Design 1 Piping - conductive connection 3 SUPPLY, SHIPPING, HAND OVER, STORAGE 3.1 Supply Supplied is the complete frame as ordered and the accompanying technical documentation The technical documentation includes: a) certification of quality and completeness of the product, b) catalogue list including attachment 1 - directions for use. 3.2 Shipment The frames are shipped unwrapped and must be well secured for transport The weight of the heaviest frame is approx. 235 kg

5 Attachment 1 to KM a 3.3 Hand over The scope and manner of hand over is dictated by the contract that has been agreed between the manufacturer and the customer During the transfer of the goods it is essential that the customer checks to see if the frames have been supplied according to the order respective of size and design (see clause 3.1.1) and inclusive of the technical documentation (see clause ) and whether any defects or damage is evident. 3.4 Storage The frames must be stored is such a way so that possible harm will be minimal During storage, it is essential that the frames be periodically checked for to insure their service condition Before the frame is to be installed, the storage provider will provide a document stating that the frame has been correctly stored and monitored for damage during the period of storage. 4 INSTALLATION 4.1 Before installation, it is essential that the frame is examined so that it conforms to the purchase order (see clause ) and includes all technical documentation (see clause ), that there is no visible damage from the manufacturer and all storage principles have been followed as per clauses to The installation of the frame is performed within the piping installation works and is governed by the project documentation. 4.3 The frame when under installation should be walled in so that it protrudes at least 80 mm out of the wall. An exception may be for installation into thinner than standard walls. Frame sizes 125 to 355 may be altered. Frame sizes 1250 to 3150 are recommended to be welded to the rebar reinforcement within the wall. 4.4 Securing the frame to the piping is performed by bolting the flanges together with a seal between the flange surfaces (see design. 1). 5 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS 5.1 Checking of fastening and damage of the frame should be performed periodically. Any damage should be remedied as soon as possible 6 DISPOSAL 6.1 After the service life of the frame its disposal must conform to Czech law no. 185/2001 Sb. and according to the internal policies of the customer purchasing the frame. 6.2 disposal of the frames is resolved by scrapping 7 GUARANTEES 7.1 any interference into the construction of the frame or use other than what it has been designed for is contrary to these instructions and thus negates any warrantee of any kind
