GENERAL 1.1 AIRCRAFT AFFECTED All P.68 Aircraft Variants from S/N 453 onwards, except S/N 454, 455, 456, 459, PURPOSE The purpose of this Service Instruction is to update the maintenance procedures laid out in the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual with the addition of the removal/installation procedure of the seats as per the current aircraft configuration. 1.3 DESCRIPTION The removal/installation procedure of the seats laid out in the paragraph 2 hereunder is divided into the following four parts: - Part A: Removal/installation of the first row seats (pilot s and copilot s seats); - Part B: Removal/installation of the second row seats (passenger seats); - Part C: Removal/installation of the third row seats (passenger seats) (Applicable only to P.68C, P.68C-TC, P.68 Observer 2 and P.68TC Observer aircraft); - Part D: Removal/installation of the seat bench in third row (passenger seats) (Applicable only to P.68R aircraft). 1.4 MANHOURS 1.5 SPECIAL TOOLS No special tools are required. 1.6 VARIATION IN WEIGHT & BALANCE First Issue dated 28 October 2011 Page 1 of 7

3 2. WORK PROCEDURE Part A: Removal/installation of the first row seats (pilot s and copilot s seats) - Refer to Figure 1-1. Get access to the cockpit area of the cabin; 2. Remove the screws securing the fwd seat track adapters and remove these last ones; 3. Remove the seat stop installed on the seat track aftward the pilot s and copilot s seats through the provided slot on the seat tracks; 4. When not removed, if necessary move aftward the second row seats just enough to allow the removal of the first row ones; 5. Release the pilot s seat locking pins acting the relevant release lever under and fwd the seat base and contemporarily move aftward the seat up to its aft attachment reach the provided slot on the seat tracks; 6. Rotate counterclockwise the seat around its fwd attachments, just enough to disengaged its aft attachments from the seat tracks, then with the seat release lever pulled up, move aftward the seat up to its fwd attachments reach the provided previously mentioned slots on the seat tracks; 7. Lift up the seat disengaging its fwd attachments from the seat tracks and remove the seat; 8. Repeat the steps from 5 through 7 to remove the copilot s seat; 9. To reinstall the pilot s and copilot s seats reverse above steps as applicable. Part B: Removal/installation of the second row seats (passenger seats) - Refer to Figure Get access to the centre area of the cabin; 11. Remove the screws securing the fwd and rwd seat track adapters and remove these last ones; 12. Remove the seat stop installed on the seat track aftward the second row seats through the provided slot on the seat tracks; 13. When not removed, if necessary move forward the pilot s and copilot s seats just enough to allow the removal of the second row ones; 14. Release the locking pins of the left passenger seat acting the relevant release lever under and fwd the seat base and contemporarily move aftward the seat up to its aft attachment reach the provided aft slot on the seat tacks; 15. Rotate counterclockwise the seat around its fwd attachments, just enough to disengaged its aft attachments from the seat tracks, then with the seat release lever pulled up, move forward the seat up to its fwd attachments reach the provided fwd slots on the seat tracks; 16. Lift up the seat disengaging its fwd attachments from the seat tracks and remove the seat; 17. Repeat the steps from 14 through 16 to remove the right seat in second row; 18. To reinstall the second row seats reverse above steps as applicable. First Issue dated 28 October 2011 Page 3 of 7

WORK PROCEDURE Part C: Removal/installation of the third row seats (passengers seats) (Applicable only to P.68C, P68C-TC, P.68 Observer 2 and P.68TC Observer aircraft) - Refer to Figure Through the baggage door, get access to the baggage compartment area and remove the rear bolts and washers securing the left and right third row seats to the fuselage structure; 20. Through the main entrance door, get access to the aft area of the cabin just forward the third row seats; 21. When not removed, if necessary move forward the second row seats just enough to allow the removal of the third row ones; 22. Remove the lower moulding just fwd the third row seats to gain access to the attaching front bolts of these last ones; 23. Remove the front bolts and washers securing the left and right third row seats to the fuselage structure; 24. Remove the third row seats; 25. To reinstall the third row seats reverse above steps as applicable. Part D: Removal/installation of the seat bench in third row (passenger seats) (Applicable only to P.68R aircraft) - Refer to Figures 2a and 2b Through the main entrance door, get access to the aft area of the cabin just forward the seat bench and remove the bench base cushion; 27. When not removed, if necessary move forward the second row seats just enough to allow the removal of the seat bench; 28. Through the baggage door, get access to the baggage compartment area and remove the bolts and washers securing the bench backrest stanchions to the bench base (refer to detail c in Figure 2a); 29. Supporting the bench backrest, remove the bolts, the bushings, the washers and the nuts securing it to the bench base (refer to detail b in Figure 2a); 30. Remove the bench backrest; 31. In the baggage compartment area, remove partially the carpeting and the leather covering the bench base just enough to gain access to its attaching points A at fuselage frame No.9 station (refer to Figure 2b), then remove the attaching bolts and washers; 32. In the aft of the cabin, remove the lower moulding just fwd the bench base to gain access to its attaching points A at fuselage frame No.8 station (refer to Figure 2b), then remove the attaching bolts and washers; 33. Lift up and remove the bench base; 34. To reinstall the seat bench reverse above steps as applicable. 3. MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE WORK First Issue dated 28 October 2011 Page 4 of 7
