To ensure the product arrives on time, there are details that you can provide us to ensure that there are no unnecessary surprises or bumps along the way. For smaller shipments, we use UPS ground. All that we require to provide you with an accurate rate and have it on your way is: 1 PRODUCT 2 LOCATION 3 SHIP TO CONTACT NAME & PHONE NO. LTL/FTL CHECKLIST For larger shipments that require LTL (Less Than Truck Load) or in some cases FTL (Full Truck Load), a few more details are required in order to provide you the best service and rate possible. Does the ship to location have a dock level door and/or a forklift on site? (If not, the carrier would need to be equipped with what is called tailgate service in order to offload the product from the truck to the ground). Can the ship to location accept a 53 foot trailer? Does it need to be delivered by a straight truck (usually 24 in length) or smaller? Are there any height restrictions we need to be aware of? (i.e. underground delivery). Does the delivery location require a call ahead on the day of delivery? 24 hour call ahead? Or do they require an appointment (additional charges may apply). If the site is unmanned, an appointment is ALWAYS REQUIRED. What are the days/hours they can accept delivery? Do they have unique hours and/or only certain days they can accept deliveries? Standard delivery includes unloading the product off the truck onto the dock or in the case of tailgate service, off the truck to the pavement.
