Provides protection from dust but still provides access if the SILAFIX are stacked on top of each other. Larger SILAFIX can easily be divided up with these removable boxes. 20 Washing baskets SPECIALISED PRODUCTS Containers for chemical cleaning Technical parts are cleaned in washing baskets, exposed to high temperatures up to 100 degrees, immersed in a chemical bath or stressed in other ways*. In the past, this could often only be solved with metal containers which are usually heavy and in any case difficult to handle. 21 Special solutions Container with special measurements 700 x 470 mm The size of some products often requires the development of containers with application-specific basic measurements. Load carrier 1200 x 600 mm This container with the unusual basic measurements is used for the transport of cable harnesses in the automotive industry Stacking container with four handle slots on the small- and long sides. Milk sample box Small bottles of milk samples are sent by post to a laboratory in this extremely flat plastic container. 9 EUROTEC with retractable short side The short side of a Eurotec hangs in the upper frame and is connected to the base with a foldable box-lock. After opening the lock, the side wall can be retracted into the upper edge of the long side. Reach-through opening Individual sizes are possible. Foldable box with transparent access opening For this, the short side of a foldable box has been cut out and sealed again with a transparent window. This means that the contents of the box can also be checked when stacked. Container with partition There are moulded grooves on the inner sides of this container for partitions on the long and short sides. Stacking container with bevelled longitudinal sides With this stacking container, the long sides bevelled in the upper edge are higher than the short sides, so that access to the contents of the container is possible when stacked. 234

22 Transport units SPECIALISED PRODUCTS System solutions It is often necessary to combine individual packaging solutions and form transport units from them. Not only containers are stacked on pallets, but often very individual packaging units required for special circumstances. Here are a few examples from practical experience Transport unit as a standard solution Plastic container stacked on a Euro pallet and closed with a lid. Transport unit for the delivery of assembly parts to a European aircraft manufacturer. Made of stacked plastic containers and trays, some with special measurements, stacked on a pallet and secured with a cover. Pallet with workpiece carriers For this transport unit, rotary stacking workpiece carriers for receiving assembly parts have been attached to a half-pallet. Further workpiece carriers can be stacked on the base element and nested when empty. The entire unit is sealed with a lid on the top layer. Transport unit on casters For a department store s delivery process to its branches, a combination of foldable and collapsible boxes, folding and combination frames have been put together on transport dollies. The entire unit can be built on dollies with basic measurements of 1200 x 800 mm, 800 x 600 mm and 600 x 400 mm. Combination of a food and non-food solution For the supply of sales branches, a folding box filled with non-food items has been combined here with a sandwich solution: The packs of coffee are enclosed like a sandwich on trays. The base of the tray corresponds to the base of the foldable box. Transport unit from Euro pallet, stacking frame and cover The stacking frames for pallets can be stacked one on top of the other and so form a transport unit at any height. If not needed or returned, the frames can be folded together. 235
