3 INTRODUCTION Purpose The purpose of this document is to present the range of Lifestyle Collection products included in the Spring/Summer Collection In addition to product descriptions, item numbers and prices, you will find some general background information on why and how certain products have been added to the collection. For example about the brands we collaborate with, and how their values align with ours. There are also brief presentations of centrally produced marketing assets materials that have been produced to promote Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection products in various communication channels. We hope you will find this information helpful in your work.

4 INTRODUCTION Philosophy The philosophy behind the Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection is to provide a carefully selected range of products that represent and promote the values of the Volvo brand. The Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection should inspire confidence in our customers and convince them that our products are superior to those of our competitors. Each product included in the Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection has been carefully selected, for a lifestyle of understated luxury that our customers recognise, aspire to and instinctively associate with the Volvo brand.

5 INTRODUCTION Portfolio The Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection consists of the three categories ICON, CORE and EVENT, with products developed/selected for different purposes. The portfolio has been composed to represent the passion for Scandinavian Design and Lifestyle and to reinforce the Volvo brand perception. ICON Scandinavian Design unique products, often developed in collaboration with Scandinavian brands, representing deep passion for Scandinavian Design and Lifestyle. CORE Brand building collection with a selected range of high quality products towards our customers. EVENT Profile products suitable for campaigns and as giveaways.

6 INTRODUCTION Collaborations highlighting Volvo Values While most Lifestyle Collection items are designed by the Volvo Cars Design team, we sometimes decide to collaborate with other Scandinavian brands. The Swedish leather goods brand Sandqvist and Swedish glassmaker Orrefors are two examples of collaborations. The outdoor clothing brand Houdini and Naimakka, maker of paracord bracelets are other examples. The collaborations are based on a shared passion for Scandinavian design & lifestyle, quality and craftsmanship, as well as shared visions relating to innovation, safety or sustainability. All co-created products are unique for Volvo, developed to highlight Volvo values and reinforce the lifestyle associated with the brand.

7 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION Collaboration with Orrefors This new crystal bowl is the latest collaboration between Volvo Cars and the renowned Swedish crystal glassmakers Orrefors. It combines Scandinavian design with craftsmanship, beauty and utility either inside or outside your car. The bowl borrows its shape from the space it inhabits, with an octagonal design that fits perfectly inside the cup holder. This gives the item a distinct character of its own a geometric shape that was developed from a functional perspective, shaped from thick crystal that features refined corners and edges finished to the same impeccable standards that both Volvo and Orrefors customers have come to expect.

44 RETAIL DISPLAY GENERAL DISPLAY PRINCIPLES Volvo cars are designed to offer a luxury experience and the beautiful simplicity of Scandinavian design is a focus area in our brand strategy. This must also be reflected in the way we display our lifestyle products. There are some simple principles that should always be kept in mind. Consider for instance how displays look in an exclusive luxury store, where products are presented in a way that really highlights them and helps increase their perceived value. Less is more not too many products on display, and ample space around them. Create focus displaying few products with space around them is a way to get the customer s attention, and to highlight the products so they can be seen as the small design masterpieces they really are. Simple and clean the displays should convey an orderly expression, with items placed in a balanced and symmetrical way to create a harmonious presentation.
