3 The Elegance collection is succeeding the very successful Ceramique line of high-end loudspeakers from Kharma. The Ceramique loudspeaker line was introduced in 1998 and the use of Ceramique-based drivers was the reason for naming this series like we did. During the past years Kharma has been researching new technologies on how to improve and set a new standard again to the high-end audio world. We are now very proud to offer the very latest high-tech technologies again in the Elegance series. The shape of the cabinets has been unchanged because the shape is fully functional to the way the sound develops from the loudspeakers. But the beauty of the design has been improved, by redesigning the stand, the bottom, the front cover and many other small design details as well as an impeccable surface finish of the highest quality in the industry. ELEGANCE S7 ELEGANCE DB7 ELEGANCE DB9 The smallest model of the Elegance series is the Elegance S7 which stands for Single 7, because of the use of a single 7-inch driver for the base section. All Elegance models have the special feature of trimmable luxury rings around the drivers, which hide the mechanical screws of the driver. The unique feature is that the rings are made magnetic and can easily be interchanged with other versions of the trimmable rings. New Kharma connectors have especially been designed for the Elegance series, which is done for user convenience and for high pressure quality contact. As a result the The Kharma connectors for the Elegance (KBPS-EL) can easily give great contact pressure applied by just the twist of a hand. The internal wire for the Elegance series is a combination of unique ultra pure silver conductors yielding to a highly musical full balanced sound. The shape of the cabinets of the Elegance series has been unchanged with respect to its predecessor, the Ceramique series, because the shape is fully functional to the way the sound develops from the loudspeakers. This is a result of the unique polygonal shaped cabinet for optimum phase behaviour and minimum group time-delay. Besides, the cabinet is made of 35 mm MDF to increase the neutrality of the cabinet and is equipped with advanced acoustic damping materials to absorb the energy in a wide frequency range. The beauty of the Elegance db7 is shown by the many small details. The speaker is accentuated by many chrome details like the logo plates on the front and side, parts of the completely redesigned SDSS-stand and the detachable grill. Internally the Elegance also shows a lot of details and use of pure materials. The actual size of the Elegance db9 is optimized for better performance with respect to its predecessors of the Ceramique series. Moreover the beauty of the design has been improved. The midrange of the Elegance speakers is formed by the 7-inch Kharma Composite driver which is equipped with a new cone technology developed by Kharma. It consists of ultra high-tech formula 1 based fibres created into a setting with optimised behaviour for the purpose. Finite element analysis with advanced computer systems have leaded to optimized coneshapes with a near perfect behaviour for a 7-inch driver. With its 4 drivers + HF driver it has the power to convert your Elegance AV system into a real 3D- soundfield enriching your AV experience with added detail and dynamics. The cabinet is finished in high gloss Kharma colours and will blend in easily in your living room. The Elegance Surround speakers are small and elegant, but fully functional and with an extended bandwidth, perfectly designed to setup an elegant AV system with great power and detail. Using the functional polygoon shapes to create true non located surround sound you will find yourself like being immersed in a giant headphone. The Elegance Sub is perfect to complete your Elegance AV-system. Based on a 10-inch super longthrow aluminum driver, this subwoofer can contribute to high end sound representation. The amplifier inside is of very high-end quality, with a DSP (digital signal processor) to engineer and tailor the output to match to your main system and your acoustics. The shape of the Elegance Sub has been designed to match the Elegance mainspeakers, but also to easily blend in any home environment. However, at the same time the shape is functional for a very rigid non resonant construction of the cabinet, disallowing the subwoofer to be tracable in the room.

5 The Elegance db11-s is build with the new KBPL cabinet technology, which increases the performance enormously. KBPL New cabinet technology developed by Kharma International. Elegance grill One of the many design novelties in the Elegance line is the grill. This improved grill has been made detachable by embedded magnets in both cabinet and grill to really have the freedom to adapt your Elegance to your own style. With grill the Elegance has an elegant and luxury feeling, where the speaker without grill shows the beauty of the new composite drivers. Therefore an Elegance speaker can easily blend in both contemporary as well as modern interiors. ELEGANCE DB9-S The Elegance db9-s is the Signature version of the Elegance db9. The mid range of this Signature version is formed by the in-house developed 7-inch Kharma Omega 7 driver. Moreover, the internal wiring and damping material is levelled with the quality of the Omega 7 driver. The effect of this innovation combined with the pure Beryllium tweeter is very clearly audible in every listening session. ELEGANCE DB11-S The db11-s cabinet is made of Kharma Bullet Proof Laminate. This material is a very high pressure laminate treated with a special coating. The KBPL increases rigidity compared to techniques used in the past, while the coating and dampening eliminates the last traces of resonance. The Kharma Elegance db11-s presents the ultimate synergy in sound reproduction with dynamic transducers. Kharma is very proud to present the Elegance db11-s, which has been rewarded with the CES Design and Innovations Award of The new speaker was judged upon different fields of engineering, aesthetic design qualities, user s value and of course it s innovative element. Drivers All the drivers of the Elegance are fully developed by Kharma. The tweeter is now made of pure Beryllium, which is the next best material to Diamond. Furthermore the speaker is equipped with double 7-inch Kharma Composite Driver (KCD), which is based on a new cone technology especially developed by Kharma. (Omega 7 for S version). Stand The Spike Disk Suspension System has specially (SDSS-stand) been developed for the Elegance series. This beautiful stand is made of composite material with a shiny black finish, which is accentuated by a chrome disk and top cover.
