About the LUBEGARD LOVE MY RIDE CHALLENGE ILI selected industry professionals from across North America to take part in this challenge, establishing real world effects of LUBEGARD products, in a variety of vehicles and varying driving styles. This diversity provided a cross section of climates and a wide-range of environments. The vehicles that were used were the participant s personal vehicles; and no s p e c i f i c instructions were given to them regarding their driving habits other than to continue to operate and drive their vehicle as normal. Each participant was then required to actively maintain a precise log of odometer readings, gallons purchased, amount spent as well as other driving and vehicle data. Even our test group with all brand new fluids saw significant increases in efficiency. Had the new fluids been allowed a longer break-in period, the improvements would have been even more dramatic as the fluids sheared into the operational viscosity they normally operate at. On my next to last tank of gas, I was bucking a headwind that had the truckers parked. I was very pleased to see the mileage was as good as it was. My engine does start easier and idles smoother than it ever has, even with over 100,000 miles. Thanks again. What Jim had to say about the Challenge: My FJ runs very smooth, but it did seem like it started up a little quicker after the fuel injector cleaner. I am getting at least 1 MPG better [using LUBEGARD products]. What Colter and Valerie had to say about I am impressed with LUBEGARD products: smoother operation, considerable increase in fuel economy (our trip computer shows 2-3 mpg increase), lower operating temperature, which is a huge plus living in the Arizona desert. We will now be adding LUBEGARD products to our other vehicles.

6 Additional Results Of course, during the Challenge, we had participants that were unable to go through the allotted amount of tanks of gas. This was due to strict time constraints for returning the data on time to write this story. We d also like to include their personal thoughts and comments on this challenge, as well as thank them for taking the time out of their busy schedules to participate. Kit Lindsay and Benny Hefley Lindsay Transmission Warrensburg, MO Drives: 97 Dodge Ram 00, with a 46RE automatic transmission. We asked the participants to also note drivability differences of their vehicles during these tests. Here is what Benny notes; A couple of degrees drop in operating temperature. I noticed a clicking noise not present after putting [LUBEGARD] in. A whine in the power steering was also gone. Much smoother at idle. Vehicle started easier. Blake Lunsford President, Nationwide Transmission Fayetteville, NC Drives: 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 4X4 5.3L, with a 4l60E automatic transmission. Here s what Blake had to say about the challenge: I gained just shy of 0.4 miles per gallon. Keep in mind, the vehicle is an 07 Avalanche with 41,000 miles and has been well maintained since new. I also noticed a slight engine stumble in gear at idle is gone. While I did not see remarkable gains in mpg, there was a gain nonetheless, to my benefit. I m sure had I performed these tests on an older vehicle with more miles, the results would have been more obvious. I also spent a few minutes calculating my mpg gain with the other data and essentially I was spending almost $0.11 cents less per gallon fill up. Who wouldn t get a small amount of satisfaction from that? I ve used LUBEGARD products for several years now, this test confirmed what I already knew. The stuff works, and works well. My target customer is not driving a 2007 vehicle; they re driving a 100k automobile that s most likely not been maintained in the same manner. Here s what Walt had to say about the challenge: Vehicle definitely ran smoother. As the vehicle has aged, (2003), I had noticed a decline in acceleration since new. The acceleration seems to have been restored as I have noticed more jump. Not long after I purchased the truck new, I had complained to Chrysler under warranty about an engine Stumble (as if 1 or 2 cylinders were not firing on cold start up). We had no CHECK ENGINE lights or diagnostic codes. This was only once or twice a month. I have not detected that symptom yet since our complete service of the vehicle.
