Safety in Assembly During assembly of this aircraft, you will be asked to use sharp knives and hobby adhesives. Please follow all safety procedures recommended by the manufacturers of the products you use, and always follow these important guidelines: ALWAYS protect your eyes when working with adhesives, knives, or tools, especially power tools. Safety glasses are the best way to protect your eyes. ALWAYS protect your body, especially your hands and fingers when using adhesives, knives, or tools, especially power tools. Do not cut toward exposed skin with hobby knives. Do not place hobby knives on tables or benches where they can roll off or be knocked off. ALWAYS have a first-aid kit handy when working with adhesives, knives, or tools, especially power tools. ALWAYS keep hobby equipment and supplies out of the reach of children. 2

3 Safety in Flying This is NOT a toy! It is a very high-performance RC airplane capable of high speeds and extreme maneuvers. It should only be operated by a competent pilot in a safe area with proper supervision. ONLY fly your aircraft in a safe, open area, away from spectators and vehicles and where it is legal to fly. NEVER fly over an unsafe area, such as a road or street. Never fly too close to yourself or spectators. Never run your motor inside a house or building with the propeller attached Remove the prop for safety. 6 Section1. Aileron Installation Step1. Locate the wing panel and small trailing edge part. Step4. Use a hobby knife to cut the slots for CA hinges in the aileron. (The slots for CA hinges were pre-cut in the wing panel. You can test fit the aileron onto the wing and mark the locations for the slots.) Step2. Use the foam glue to glue the small part foam to the wing panel. Step5. Use thin CA to glue five CA hinges into the aileron. Step3. Install one hook to the wing root. (The mounting hole was pre-drilled. you need to drop some thin CA to make sure the hook is secured) Step6. Attach the aileron to the wing through the CA hinges. (You can cut the wing s slots deeper to make the hinges fit in better.) 6

7 Step7. Use thin CA to secure the hinges to the wing. Step8. Repeat the steps 1 to 7 to install the other aileron. Section2. Aileron Installation Step1. Install a long servo arm on the top of the supplied servo arm using M2x 6mm bolt and M2 nut. Step3. Thread the servo lead through the wing. Step2. Install an EZ-connector to the servo arm and install the servo arm to the servo. (Electronically center the servo before the installation.) Step4. Install the servo onto the wing opening using the screws provided with the servo. 7

8 Step5. Install one 150mm push rod to the control horn. (Please enlarge the hole on the control horn if necessary.) Step8. With the control surface centered, tighten the screw on the EZ connector. Step6. Use foam glue to install the control horn to the aileron. Step9. Repeat steps 1-8 to install the other aileron servo. Attach two wing panels to the fuselage using the 450mm wing tube and rubber bands. (No glue needed.) Step7. Cut off the excess push rod wire. 8

9 Section3. Tail Parts Installation Step1. Prepare an assembled tail wheel as shown. (Bend the landing gear wire to the same side as the wheel.) Step4. Install the metal brace into the fuselage as shown. Step2. Glue the tail wheel assembly into the rudder. Step5. Attach the rudder to the fuselage through the CA hinges, and use thin CA to glue the hinges to the fuselage. Step3. Use thin CA to glue 3 pieces of CA hinges into the rudder. Step6. Use thin CA to glue four CA hinges to the stabilizer.

10 Step7. Test fit the elevator into the stabilizer through the hinges, and trim the slots in the elevator to make sure the elevator and stabilizer fit tightly. Step9. Insert the elevator into the slot as shown. Step8. Use a hobby knife to remove the small wood part in the opening for the tail parts. Step10. Apply the foam glue to the central area of the stabilizer and insert it into the fuselage and wait till the glue cures. (Adjust the stabilizer to make sure the stabilizer is centered in the fuselage and parallel with the main wing.) Or you can position the stabilizer in the fuselage, and use low temperature hot glue to glue it in place. 10

11 Step11. Apply some thin CA to the CA hinges to secure the elevator to the stabilizer. Section4. Landing Gear Installation Step1. Locate all the parts for assembling landing gear. Step2. Install the wheel and wheel pant to the landing gear wire as shown using the wheel collars. Step3. Insert the landing gear into the slot. 11

12 Step4. Apply some foam glue into the slot, insert the wood part into the slot and wait till the glue cures. Step5. Glue the landing gear foam covers to the landing gear wire. 12

13 Section5. Elevator rudder and rudder servo installation Step1. Prepare two servos with servo arm installed and servo wire extension attached. Step3. Install the control horns to the rudder and elevator. Step2. Install the elevator servo and rudder servo into the openings in the fuselage. Step4. With the control surface centered, tighten the screws on the EZ-connector. 13

14 Section6. Motor, Prop and Spinner Installation Step1. Position your radial motor mount onto the firewall and use a pen to mark the locations. Step4. Install the motor onto the firewall using four M3 x 12mm self-tapping socket head screws. Step2. Use M2 drill bit to drill the mounting holes on the firewall. Step5. Install the back plate and prop to the prop adapter using a nut. Step3. Install the motor mount to the motor using the provided screws. Step6. Install the spinner using two provided screws. 14

15 Section7. Center of Gravity and Control Throw Setup The recommended setup is around 125mm (3-3/4in) from the leading edge of the wing. Recommended control throws setup Aileron: degrees Elevator: degrees Rudder: degrees 15
