2 Dear friends and customers, Starting in 1988, 30 years ago during a business trip to Europe, I recognized an array of specially designed agriculture machines built for small/minor crop farmers. I knew then that many growers in this part of the world in all grower segments whether it be Row Crops or Trees, Small Fruit, and Nurseries, could only wish to have the advantage of farming with this technologically advanced machinery. After a business decision to leave my former corporation partnership in 1996, I incorporated BDi Machinery Sales Company along with my son Billy. The mission was to make it possible for the east coast and the central U.S. grower to Buy Direct Internationally these advanced machines. Reducing labor costs, streamlining resources and increased yields while being environmentally friendly. Since 1996, 22 years ago, and still today our mission continues. We source Americanmade and imported niche market machinery for sale and service with the aid of select regional local sales and service dealers. 3 The CIMA Advantage: The technological delivery system is able to treat more area of canopy with less water. The simple transmission requires less maintenance and the fan absorbs less horsepower than conventional air-blast sprayers. All CIMA s can be fitted with a custom spray-head to target the treatment into the canopy with minimal over-spray. Targeted Spray low volume DIFFERENCE Better Coverage with Less Water All CIMA spray heads are easily adjusted to direct the spray into the canopy with minimal overspray. Each spray outlet uses a venturi to produce consistently fine u size droplets (no nozzle tips). Calibration only takes seconds since each spray head uses the CIMA quick change 15 position dial-a-rate calibration disc. The Low Volume Venturi style sprayer makes droplets in the u Range. A high-pressure sprayer commonly makes droplets in the u range. Since droplets are three dimensional, when you break down a large droplet it has 8x smaller droplets inside of that large droplet, therefore you will have many available for better coverage. This type of spray method also allows you not to have to spray to a drip unlike typical high-pressure sprayers. The venturi style delivery system coats all surfaces of the canopy with air speeds around mph. Achieving a better quality of coverage, and yielding a cleaner crop. 4 SMALL ACRE SPRAYERS BDi Small Acre Sprayers BDi s P35 is just the right size for the small acres, or start up growers. The Cifarelli blower produces 200 MPH air flow, with droplets ranging from microns in size. Perfect for disease and insect control at low gallon rates. The CIMA fan-tail spray head is ideal for close/dense crops, with an up/down adjustment to best target different canopy heights. The 30-gallon tank is just the right size to cover about one acre per fill up. The 12V pump supplies liquid to the spray head and agitates the mixture in the tank. Reachable controls are mounted near the operator. The frame is multi-use, with 3PT P35 to attach to a small tractor, a base/skid can sit on the back of a gator or golf cart, or the optional wheel kit bolts on. 2 step calibration made simple, with Teejet quick-change orifice, and pressure regulator for fine tune adjustments. 10 Air BOOM HEADS Air Boom Heads CIMA s air boom heads are designed for low bed crops, most commonly strawberries & vegetables. Available in three widths 16, 23, and 40. Air booms are customizable by; the number of outlets per nozzle, the number of nozzles per bed, by width of boom and tank size 100 or 165 gallon. The low volume venturi style nozzles target directly over the crop for maximum coverage with no drift. The average rate of gallons per acre is used with this style system. 26 In-out CULTIVATORS EP Power Harrow Rotary in and out tree hoe EPs can perform a perfect complete weeding in ranges of vineyards and orchards with stony ground and 24 plant spacing. 28 spaders Deep Spade Tillage Spaders are the preferred tool for deep tillage and cultivation while doing the least soil structure damage. The working motion does not beat or mix soil layers and will fracture the plow pan. Cover crop is pushed downwards throughout the soil profile and the soil is broken by being forced backwards against raked tailgate.
