2 Services, philosophy... Our product and system production is hallmarked by a 4,000 m 2 production area, flexible storage and logistics facilities and modern, high-performance test facilities. It is designed for the production of connectionready, pre-wired and functionally tested electrical products for the following areas: Low voltage switchgear Medium voltage switchgear Protection systems Automation systems Railway power supply systems Drive systems. Whether in small series or single-unit production, our job-oriented concept ensures efficiency and cost advantages with high quality products conforming to national and international standards and ensures fault-free reliable use of our products. 2

3 In all implementation phases of a job our project engineer coordinates the required services, creates the project documentation and optimally steers the processes within the scope of the timetable and cost plan. CAD programs: Eplan Ruplan Elcad AutoCAD COMOS etc. For batch sizes starting at 1, a modern CNC machine is used for completely machining mounting plates and a plasma cutter is used for making cutouts in doors and housings. This process results in cut edges with higher corrosion protection. The CNC files are archived and are available for identical replicas.. The copper busbars for the switching systems are manufactured in our own workshop, which has the appropriate cutting, punching and bending machines. Plastic or sheet metal covers for touching protection, as per BGV A3 (VGB 4), are individually manufactured for every system. We pack our systems and products to suit the particular requirements of the transport method - also for air freight, sea freight etc. 3

4 and quality Our highly qualified technical workers, construction managers and commissioning engineers are committed to delivering, installing and commissioning our systems on-time and to a high level of quality. Our modern equipment and CAE tools allow us to satisfy the most demanding timetables. Our employees are also available for servicing tasks after hand-over of our systems. Our quality benchmarks are the satisfaction of our customers and the environmental compatibility of our products. The success of our quality control work is proven by regular certification of the quality management system as per DIN EN ISO

5 Low voltage switchgear We plan and manufacture switchgear entirely in-house, as a license partner and to customer specifications with: Rated operating voltages up to 690 V AC Rated currents up to 6,300 A Rated short-term peak currents of up to 160 ka Icw (1s) Feed-ins, couplings and outputs Fixed installations, plug-in and withdrawable technology Protection types up to IP 54 Cable and / or busbar connections from above / below. The use of manufacturer-independent electrical devices and a free choice of housing system form are the basis of our optimum PTSK solutions. 5

6 Low voltage switchgear (withdrawable technology) The Elpro-Low voltage switchgear System is a collaborative project with the Rittal company, based on a modular structured switchgear system developed by Ri4Power, certified to IEC 61439, with ASTA certification. 8 Medium voltage switchgear We have been planning, manufacturing and delivering medium voltage systems for years, used in power stations, substations, switching station and all types of industrial plants. Among others, we have also supplied systems for the medium voltage supply grids of power supply companies. The primary components are planned and manufactured in collaboration with our system partners ABB and Schneider Electric. Completion of the control system, system protection and telecontrol connections, as well as testing, installation and commissioning, are all performed completely in-house. 8

9 Protection systems For power supply systems we manufacture: Protection cabinets for 220 kv and 380 kv grids Protection and control cabinets for the 110 kv grid Protection and control cabinets for the 110 kv wind feed-in substations. 9

10 Automation systems We manufacture expert automation solutions on a range of different system platforms: I/O stations PLC cabinets Server cabinets Video cabinets BOB system components Switch gallery equipment. A comprehensive selection of special tools allows us to crimp all commonly used contact elements and we can manufacture Thermi-Point connections Connections using wire-wrap and insulation-displacement systems. 10

11 Railway power supply systems In the railway power supply sector we develop, produce and deliver DC switchgear for local transport authorities. For rectifier substations we manufacture: Station service plants Rectifiers DC switching cells Fast switching modules. The Elpro products are certified and conform to the relevant DIN EN standards. They are designed for use in railway power supplies with rated voltages of 750 V GS and 1500 V GS. As a Q-1 supplier we manufacture 15 kv switching points (16 2/3 Hz) for the Deutsche Bahn. 11

12 Drive technology We have over 50 years of experience in the planning, manufacture, supply and commissioning of regulated DC and three-phase drive units and complete system solutions. The company supplies complete electrical drive systems worldwide, consisting of transformers, frequency converters, rectifiers and motors ranging from 10 kw to 10 MW for low and medium voltages. 12

13 Test field Our test field is equipped with the latest test and measurement technology. All products and systems manufactured by us are subjected to individual tests in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN and DIN EN together with the product standards and project-specific specifications. In Factory Acceptance Tests, specially designed tests of interconnected system components using simulated peripherals are performed in the presence of the customer. For system tests we offer testing of drive systems. Our test bed for highly dynamic drives allows testing of frequency converters / rectifiers using the original motor. For software tests, we offer our customers the ability to perform complex tests on interconnected automation systems. 14
