10 Smooth Crop Flow Pump up a bicycle tyre quickly and you ll know just how hot the pump gets. Trying to force all that air through the small valve causes friction which generates heat. So imagine forcing several tonnes of crop through a small aperture every hour and chopping it. Now you can begin to understand why efficient crop flow is so important. The 7050 crop flow is designed to minimise friction so it flows through smoothly and quickly with as little wear and tear as possible. We ve refined it over years of field testing and production, so every component is perfectly balanced, working in harmony with each other. THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE IS THE PATH TO PRODUCTI VITY 5 Steps to high output, high quality silage Smooth crop feeding The heavy duty steel feed rolls ensure an even and tight crop mat reaches the cutterhead for precise chopping. Sensitive metal detector and stone trap The highly sensitive metal detector system disengages the cutterhead in a fraction of a second. Stones simply fall through the trap. Efficient and precise cutting Our DuraDrum cutterhead is field proven on more than 17,000 forage harvesters. With automatic shearbar adjustment, the cut is clean and efficient with less power. Solid and perfectly balanced, the smaller segmented knives are cheaper and easier to replace than large width knives. Just loosening three bolts is all it takes. Effective kernel cracking Heavy duty double row bearings, three drive belts and a special bearing protection means our heavy duty Kernel Processor is up to the task. There is a choice of rolls for maize, wholegrain cereals and specialist crops like sorghum. High speed loading The crop accelerator ensures fast and steady throughput so you ll enjoy consistent trailer loading whatever the crop or conditions. 3 From Maize to Grass in Minutes With our easily removable Kernel Processor it s a one man job to switch between maize and grass in minutes (7 minutes to be precise!). You can either lower it down using the chain winch, or at the touch of a button with the optional motor drive. The KP is equipped with rollers so once it s on the ground it can be pulled free of the harvester making maintenance and storage easy. The proof comes in the field with quieter operation, reduced plugging in difficult crop conditions and wear plates that will last the whole season even in the most aggressive soil conditions

11 Fingertip Cut Control The sharper the knife the easier the cut. So sharp knives mean better fuel economy, better crop quality and a higher tonnage harvested. Knives can be sharpened at the touch of a button and the cycle interrupted if you need to return to work quickly. The cutterhead rotates in reverse during the sharpening cycle so the heel of the knife hits the sharpening block first, leaving a very sharp tail for cutting. It also means knives stay sharp longer. The Infinitely Variable Length Of Cut (IVLOC) transmission lets you adjust the length of cut from between 6 and 26 mm (40 knife cutterhead) simply by turning a dial from the cab on-the-go. The new AutoLoc is even better. This links the real-time dry matter reading from the on-board HarvestLab to the transmission, automatically optimising the length of cut as you harvest. RAZOR-SHARP CUTTING AND INFINITELY-VARIABLE-LENGTH -OF-CUT High Efficiency IVLOC Transmission The IVLOC transmission combines the best of both worlds mechanical efficiency and hydraulic control. Highly reliable with low power consumption it s also available with the optional AutoLOC with cut length automatically optimised by HarvestLab. Effective foreign object removal Stones are filtered out through a special trap under the feed rolls and any ferrous materials are instantly detected by an ultra sensitive metal detector. This stops the feed rolls in just 40 milliseconds and the indicator panel in the cab shows the operator where the object is for rapid removal. Crop Matched Cutterheads There is a choice of three cutterheads for different crops and cutting conditions. The 40 and 48 knife heads are perfect for long grass, fibre crops and maize. The 56 knife head provides the finest chop (4 mm) and excellent quality maize silage, even in dry conditions
