The UV rays pass through the solar panel, and are converted to energy. This energy is stored in the internal Lithium PO4 battery or Lead Acid Battery. At night, when no light is detected, a sensor is activated signaling the battery to power on the internal LED light, producing a well-lit lamp powerful enough to light residential areas, parks, streets and other recreational areas. 2. IS SOLAR POER A NE TECNOLOGY? ARE TERE STILL KINKS TAT NEED TO BE ORKED OUT? Solar Photovoltaic Energy was invented in 1839 making it a technology that s been around for a really long time. At SELS we develop and use the industries latest trends in solar energy products. e want our brand to be associated with excellence, so we make sure our products offer the best quality technology we can find including our solar panels, batteries, LED chips, drivers, rust protection, and more. 3. Y DO SELS SOLAR LIGTS USE LIFEPO4 LITIUM BATTERIES? LiFePO4 batteries have a lifespan ten times longer than that of traditional lead acid batteries, dramatically reducing the need for battery changes. They operate with much lower resistance and consequently recharge at a faster rate. They are lighter than leadacid batteries, usually weighing about 1/4 less. LiFeP04 provides twice the battery capacity in the same amount of space. ith operating ranges from -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, LiFePO4 batteries handle far wider variations in temperature. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are also more environmentally friendly and safer for use in any system. Other advantages of LiFeP04 technology include upper and lower voltage protection, dead short and reverse polarity protection, and a flame-retardant chemistry. 4. O LONG ILL MY SOLAR LIGT STAY ON? SELS solar lights have the capacity to stay on for up to 23 hours in the dark when fully charged. owever, they will automatically shut off when daylight is sensored. 5. AT APPENS EN IT IS CLOUDY, RAINY OR SNOING? No need to worry. Our solar panel will continue to charge the battery at a reduced rate even when it is cloudy or rainy, meaning the light will still turn on as long as the solar panel is not completely covered and receives some amount of sunlight. 6. O DOES TE SELS LIGT KNO EN TO TURN ON AND OFF? For our Solar Garden lights, and some of our Park lights, the solar controller uses a photocell which senses the darkness to control when the light turns ON and OFF. hen the sensor detects darkness it turns ON and when it detects light it turns OFF. Our Street Lights and a few of our Park Lights can be programed by remote control to turn on and off at the hour you choose. You can also program the percentage of light you would like turned on at different times. For example, you might choose to have the light turn on at 8pm at 100% power until midnight, and then have the power reduce to 50% until switch off at 7am. There is a manual turn on switch which can be located on the base of our models and needs to be turned on only once to activate your lamp. See models: SG9020, SG9030, SG9040, SG9050, SG9060, SG9070, SG9080, S9080, SG9085, S9085, SG9090, SG9095. Our Solar Park lights, SP9510, SP9540, SP9545, SP9550, SP9550, SP9555, SP9556, SP9557, require minimal assembly which includes anywhere between 2 to 4 screws. For our larger models SP9560, SP9570, SP9580, SP9590, ST9730, ST9750, ST9750D, ST9780, ST97100, SC9810, SC9820, a two person assembly is required because of the weight of poles and parts. owever, the assembly requires only a 4 to 8 step process depending on the model. aving an easy to assemble product is just as important to us as the quality of our products, so we made sure to make our lamps as user friendly as possible. 8.
