10 TestPlan Freefall Dropped mass-simulated simulated structure from the top floor of the DLC to see how it withstand the impact upon landing Structure passed test Stair Test Structure was thrown repeatedly and tumbled down two flights of stairs in the DLC. Structure passed test
11 TestPlan Whip Test Attach seven foot string through the center of the structure and then violently whip it around to assure that the structure will remain intact when facing such conditions Cold Test Perform the entire mission in dry ice to simulate the climate of the high altitude. Also to make sure the heating array is properly functioning and the circuitry stays warm enough to function.
12 TestPlan Battery Endurance Test Tests the resistors in the circuit to ensure that the batteries will be properly drained during flight. Circuitry and Battery Compatibility To make sure that the circuit is properly connected to the batteries, voltmeters and HOBO s s before flight.
13 TestPlan Heating Array Functioning Run the heating array on batteries to assure that it is heating properly Measure the temperature achieved Camera and Timing Circuitry Test Run the camera for the expected period of the ascent while moving the camera in different positions to test picture quality and to assure that the timing is set correctly HOBO Data Collection and Memory Capacity Obtaining a ground reading of the voltmeters and two temperature probes Assuring that the HOBOs have the memory needed to store all data collected
