4 4 Introduction Walmart Atlas INTRODUCTION Walmart Atlas is a comprehensive directory of more than 4,300 Walmart stores, Supercenters (Super Walmarts), and Sam s Club stores across the United States. Understanding how to use this book will aid you in locating stores and the availability of services provided. Identifying Store Types There are three basic symbols used throughout this book for indicating each type of store. The symbols shown below are used on all State Maps, Metro Area Charts, and Store Detail Charts. A circle is used to indicate Walmart stores A diamond is used to indicate Walmart Supercenters A square is used to indicate Sam s Club stores Stores with Gas or Diesel Fuel Using the same basic symbols described above, each may be filled with a shade of black to indicate the availability of gasoline or diesel fuel. An empty symbol ( ) identifies stores where no fuel service is available. Any symbol with a light-black fill ( ) indicates that gasoline is available. Any symbol with a solid fill ( ) identifies locations with both gasoline and diesel fuel. State Maps The State Maps provide a quick and easy way to locate stores and identify the availability of gas or diesel fuel (see sample Colorado map at right). When there are multiple store locations in the same city, the total number of stores is indicated in parentheses following the city name. If one or more of the same type of store offers fuel, the store symbol will indicate that fuel is available. Refer to the Store Details Chart to find the specific store(s) with fuel service. Some metropolitan areas with numerous store locations in multiple cities are identified on State Maps in Bold type, followed by the total number of stores in that area. The cities within a metropolitan area are listed in the Metro Area Chart (see sample of Denver Area at right) and an overview of the stores within each city is provided.

Springs This indicates there is a Walmart store in Frisco without fuel. Avon This indicates there are 7 locations within the city. None of the Supercenters have fuel; at least one Sam s Club location offers gasoline. Frisco Fort Collins Loveland (3) Longmont (2) Lafayette Broomfield (2) Evergreen Littleton (3) Highlands Ranch Lone Tree Woodland Park This indicates there are two Supercenter locations within the city and that at least one location has gas and diesel fuel. Timnath Greeley (2) Evans Brighton (2) Denver Area (17) Aurora (6) Centennial Parker Elizabeth Castle Rock Monument Falcon Colorado Springs (7) Fountain Sterling Fort Morgan This indicates there is a Supercenter with gasoline in town. This identifies a Supercenter in town with gas and diesel. This indicates there are 16 stores within the Denver area that are not shown on the map. This also shows that there are Walmart stores and Supercenters in the area but none have fuel; at least one Sam s Club location has gasoline. Refer to the Metro Area Chart for more information. Sample Metro Area Chart (Denver Area) Denver Area Arvada Commerce City Denver (4) Englewood Lakewood (2) Thornton (2) Westminster (2) Wheat Ridge This indicates there are two Supercenters without fuel in Westminster. This indicates there are four stores within Denver. None of the Supercenters have fuel service; at least one Sam s Club store offers gasoline. This indicates there is a Walmart store without fuel in Wheat Ridge.

6 6 Introduction Walmart Atlas Store Detail Charts Following the State Map and any Metro Area Charts are the details for each store. Store locations are listed alphabetically by city name. The same store symbols ( ) as shown on the map are used in this chart, followed by four columns of icons. A number in the column beneath the Interstate symbol ( ) indicates a store s distance from an Interstate exit if within ten miles. The clock ( ) indicates that a store is open 24 hours. If a store has a pharmacy within it, the symbol is used. Availability of auto services is indicated by the symbol. Next in the chart is each store s address, zip code, phone number, and GPS coordinates followed by driving directions to the store. Store type (Walmart, Supercenter, or Sam s Club) and availability of gas or diesel. City or town in which the store is located. This indicates the availability of a pharmacy within the store. Information for each store includes its address, zip code, phone number, GPS coordinates, and directions.
