1 Purchase Order Process Ready to get started? Here s a step by step process for getting your PowerUP purchase order created and processed, completing collections, and getting your solar installed! 1. Start your purchase order Fill out the purchase order form. You will need to identify a lead purchaser who will help Soulardarity staff with your PowerUP order. 2. Commitments Based on the purchase order estimates, work with your neighbors to get commitments. Use the provided format and be sure to identify who is an existing Soulardarity member, getting membership with their order and who is seeking a member only low interest PowerUP loan. Soulardarity staff will support with education on the offered products so people know what they are getting. 3. Site Assessment and Collections Once you have enough commitments to be sure of your bulk discount rate, collections can begin. There are options for payment by cash, check, or credit card. Soulardarity staff and partners will be involved in this process, as we will need receipt purchases and document all installation sites to ensure that proper assessments for installation are made. We will help all those interested in PowerUP loans to engage with our partner, One Detroit Credit Union. 4. Installation Ryter Cooperative Industries will work with you to ensure smooth communication with people in your purchase order about planning and scheduling installation. 5. Give us feedback! Once the work is complete, we will send out a short survey asking for feedback. We want to improve this program every year, and your feedback matters!

8 Soulardarity has formed a partnership with One Detroit Credit Union to provide low-interest loans for PowerUP program participants. Like Soulardarity, 1DCU is a locally focused membership organization that cares about access and equity for Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck residents. What will I need to qualify? Soulardarity membership (can be included in your order) $10 membership deposit with One Detroit, if you are not already a member Credit score will not affect eligibility, but 1DCU will perform a credit check to ensure you are not in bankruptcy. Demonstrate proof of income that will affirm your ability to make loan payments (For example: a paycheck, U.S. government issued check, pension check, or statement) What are the terms?
