2 INTRODUCTION We congratulate you on choosing your new marina shore power system. This system is a member of a family of marine products from CTEK Sweden AB. The shore power system has been developed to satisfy the stringent requirements for functionality and environme- and using the system. SAFETY WARNING! This system has been designed and approved for installation by those who required for installing the system. For this reason it is prohibited to make any adjust- threatening consequences to people in and around the boat. WARNING! This system must not be used without proper installation of the electrical cabinet according to attached installation instruction. WARNING! The power feed from the shore may not be connected to the boat before the entire system has been installed in the boat. Connecting the power from an outside source otherwise risks exposing people in and around the boat to life threatening hazards. WARNING! The shore power system s protective earth must be electrically connected with all the electrically conductive devices in the boat that have a connection to earth, for example, via the water. Failure to do this will result in immediate mortal danger to people in or around the boat in the event of a fault to the electrical equipment connected to the shore power system. WARNING! injury in the event of a fault in one of the electrical devices connected to the system, the system s electrical cabinet must be a part of the installation. WARNING! The electrical cabinet on shore, that the shore power cable is connected to, should be regarded as a part of the installation. 4 INSTALLATION OF THE SYSTEM IN THE BOAT Installation work is facilitated using the following tools (not included) Drilling machine Compass saw Drills: Ø2.5mm, Ø3.5mm Hole-maker: Ø41mm for power inlet Hole-maker: Ø25mm for internal cables Screwdriver As boats have variable interior solutions, CTEK leaves the selection and acquisition of other screws to the boat owner. Installation Preparations Lay out the system components and cables. Check that the length of the cables is suf- Assembly of power inlet Select a suitable place for assembling the power inlet (built-in depth 57mm). Attach the hole-making sticker for the power inlet and make a hole in the hull (Ø41mm) for the power inlet and drill holes (3 x Ø3.5mm) for the attachment screws. Fit the power inlet with the accompanying screws (Ø4.75mm). Note that the enclosed gasket is to be located between the inlet and the wall it is to be Surface mounting of electrical cabinet: the electrical cabinet using the enclosed screws (Important: use the correct length of screw). Stick the hole making sticker to the electrical cabinet and drill the requisite holes for attachment (4 x Ø3.5mm). 5 Assembly of single wall socket: Open the wall socket by removing the frame and unscrewing it. Mark the screw holes the wall socket and snap the frame in place on the wall socket. Note that the wall socket turn it to the required position. Now snap on the cover and frame again. Assembly of double wall socket: Open the wall socket by lifting off the cover and unscrewing it. Mark the screw holes together the wall socket again. Assembly of cables: Connect the internal cables to the system components, power inlet, electrical cabinet and panying dismantling tools must be used. NOTE! Ensure that the cables are relieved in the entry points to the devices when assembling. NOTE! Connect all live devices in the boat that have a connection to earth, for example cabinet. NOTE! Figures 1 and 2 below show the minimum permitted radius for the internal cable when it is bent around a corner. Fig 1 Fig 2

8 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The shore power cable is connected at one end to the electrical cabinet on shore. The other end is connected to the boat s electrical power inlet. The internal electrical cabinet is fed via an internal cable from the power inlet. - The H1 lamp indicates that voltage is present on the output connectors X2, X3 and X4. designed to be an electrical earthing point for all the live components on the boat. DC currents from causing galvanic corrosion. The galvanic isolator blocks the current that is caused by a potential difference of up to 1VDC between the earth potential on the boat and the earth potential on shore The galvanic isolator handles short circuit currents without being damaged or degraded. 10 LIABILITY CTEK SWEDEN AB is not liable for any damages to the boat resulting from the installation of the shore power system. Furthermore, CTEK SWEDEN AB is not liable for any damages to the boat resulting from the careless handling of components in the shore power system. CTEK SWEDEN AB is not liable for any injuries to persons arising from incorrect installation or caused by damaged system components. LIMITED WARRANTY limited warranty to the original purchaser of this shore power system. This limited warranty is not transferable. CTEK SWEDEN AB guarantees this unit for two years from the date of purchase against defect workmanship or material. The customer must return the product together with the receipt of purchase to the point of purchase. This warranty is void if components in the shore power system are handled carelessly, opened or repaired by anyone other than CTEK SWEDEN AB or its authorized representative. CTEK SWEDEN AB makes no warranty other than this limited warranty and is not liable for any other costs other than those mentioned above, i.e. no consequential damages. Moreover, CTEK SWEDEN AB is not obligated to any other warranty other than this warranty.
