4 From humble beginnings in the early 1980 s Real Flame is now recognised as the leader in gas fireplace technology. t the forefront of leading edge design for more than three decades Real Flame has continually developed new and innovative products to suit the demanding ustralian market. Our vision for the future will continue to drive this philosophy. Real Flame has been quick to respond to the ustralian authorities push to use renewable energy more efficiently. The ustralian Greenhouse Office has introduced star ratings to allow consumers to make educated decisions when choosing a new appliance. Real Flame has developed an outstanding range of high efficiency gas fires to meet this demand. t the heart of all Real Flame fires is the Magiglo burner system. This burner system incorporates state of the art flame failure and oxygen depletion safety systems and delivers a flame pattern which creates charm, ambience and warmth in any environment. Real Flame are also pioneers in flue technology, developing the Power Flue system back in 2004 to enable the use of open fronted fires in applications where it previously was not considered possible. 30 Real Flame pioneered the first G approved power flue system in Prior to its development, open fronted gas fires were restricted to using a vertical flue which prevented installations in many situations such as the ground floor in two-storey homes or apartments. The Power Flue enables the installation of open fronted gas fireplaces in virtually any situation with a horizontal or vertical flue run of up to 13.5m and incorporating up to four 90-degree bends. Longer runs with more bends are possible, however, Real Flame must approve these in writing. The Real Flame Power Flue system has been incorporated with great success in a wide range of prestige projects around ustralia. The Real Flame Power Flue system has been used with great success in many applications including the prestigious Melbourne high rise development Royal Domain Tower. 32 The Pure Vision was installed above the pool window to create a striking centrepiece in this beautifully appointed home Paris Moderne Club beckons after-dinner guests in this home with relaxation in leather club chairs nestled between ehruz Folded Sky Rug and Cobonpue Lamp. Tone-on-tone leather, carpet and the dove grey polished plaster wall embrace the centrepiece Pure Vision Real Flame fireplace. 30

33 The Real Flame Fireplace creates a warm and intimate environment and the visual feature allows the fireplace to completely integrate with the ambient surrounds. The entire room transforms into a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and provides a definite wow factor to the room. The Real Flame Simplicity 1800 was the perfect feature fireplace to be incorporated in this modern contemporary style home built in ttadale. Giving a natural warm feel and look combined with the feature surroundings of timber cladding, stone and tiles, the design of the Simplicity provided a definite stand out feature of the home. 31

36 One of the major features of the The Lounge at Saffire is our 5 metre long Real Flame fireplace. In dealing with a high ceiling and a huge expanse of glass it was important to create warmth and intimacy in this space. We find that our guests are drawn to this area of an evening; the fireplace not only adds to the intimate atmosphere, but also serves as a stunning visual feature after dark that complements the fiery granite of the Hazards. The friendly staff at Real Flame have a deep understanding of their products and assisted us greatly in the design and installation of the fireplace. With their help we were able to turn our original concept into built form and we could not be happier with the outcome. 34

37 The Real Flame fire in the lounge is very popular with our guests. It is a great place for them to sit and unwind with a good book after a long day. The fire creates a sense of warmth and ambience at the flick of a switch, particularly on those cold Melbourne days. The custom made Simplicity fire used in the hotel lobby is the perfect meeting place for guests to sit and have a drink before heading out on the town. 35

38 The rissenden Fireplace is named after Michael rissenden, journalist and former board member who championed the fireplace during renovation negotiations. The fireplace has become a hub within club lounge where guests gather to relax, enjoy the ambience and warmth! focal point in the Club Lounge, the fireplace is used as a meeting point for corporate members enjoying drinks before heading to the press club address. Marietta Rudolf National Press Club of ustralia t Mr Mason our Real Flame fireplace is the centrepiece of our restaurant. The fireplace really helps to create the relaxed and cosy ambiance we set out to achieve when designing the venue. Ideally located right in the middle of the lounge and surrounded by chesterfields, our Real Flame fireplace is the most popular place in the venue to enjoy a glass of wine. 36

39 Graphite rchitects were nominated by Mingara Leisure Group for the design of a new building to replace the existing Roselands owling Club building. The interior design incorporates a large volumed central corridor spine which terminates in a long fireplace with a naturally lit landscaped backdrop as a focal point The focus throughout the design process was on clean classic lines, with a strong emphasis on simplicity. Graphite chose the Realflame Simplicity 3300 Firebox for its clean lines, frameless appearance from both inside and out as well as its extended width. The end result is a very striking feature adding ambience to a very sophisticated setting, The two fires installed at the Highlands Hotel reflect the clean contemporary design of the public spaces whilst bringing a warmth and ambience to the restaurant area. 37

40 We used Real Flame for the Oaks Hotel because they are the best in the business, they are great to deal with, never a problem with their systems and reasonably priced. The four Real Flame 3300 Simplicity fires at the RCV Club Torquay make a bold statement. Each fire is located to ensure guests can relax in front of the fires whether dining, relaxing with a good book, or simply staring into distant ocean views. 38

41 The Real Flame fire is a fantastic centrepiece in this latest Squires Loft restaurant. It creates the perfect setting for patrons to sit and enjoy a beautiful meal or a relaxing wine whilst gazing at the hypnotic flames. We chose the Simplicity for its proportions and length of the firebox opening. It compliments a very modern aesthetic. Real Flame products are well built and the service both during design and through to construction phase was flawless 39
