Novus, the best selling gas fireplace of all time, is better than ever with features that are customer designed and driven. More size choices - 30, 33, 36 and now 42 wide viewing areas. Top/rear direct vent - ll direct vent models now top/rear vent to simplify ordering and installation. More designer front choices - Top and bottom louvers standard and a choice of optional fronts including the unique Modernist and rts & Crafts. Simplicity in surround - Introducing the Rockefeller Surround, a revolutionary new, simple-to-install surround made from Firerick TM technology and created especially for the 36 and 42 Novus. Upgraded burner system - ccentuates the main flame and enhances the effect of the glowing embers. igger logs - Four distinct log sets, one for each fireplace size, capture the look of natural wood with even more realistic sculpting and colors. More firebox options - lack firebox interior standard with optional herringbone or traditional ceramic fiber refractory also available. Larger viewing area - Glass size is the same, but the black silk-screen edge is gone. Safety screen is standard on all models for added peace of mind. When the fireplace is turned on, the pilot lights first then ignites the main burner. When the fireplace is not operating, the pilot also shuts down. The Intellifire system installation choices include hardwiring, hardwiring with a battery backup or operating with two size D batteries (not included). ll models available in standing pilot or the revolutionary Intellifire intermittent pilot electronic ignition system. Vertical runs: 1 clearance Finishing Materials When finishing the Novus, combustible material may be brought up to the sides of the fireplace but must never overlap the black area.
