3 Luren Precision Co., Ltd. Founded in 1994, Luren Precision Co., Ltd. started the production of gear cutting tools at Hsin-Chu Science-Based Industrial Park, Taiwan. The key members coming from the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) had hand-on experiences on high technology and high precision machinery to produce aircraft gears and components. After years of operation, Luren has finally set up three main departments which focus on gear cutting tools, spin pumps and machinery. Other than cooperating with Volvo/ Sweden to produce commercial trucks/buses, TAV has also maintained a good relationship with the chassis manufacturers such as international/usa, Hino/Japan, Isuzu/Japan etc. Consequently, such cooperation has made TAV gaining a very favorable view from the Taiwan market. 5 Gfc, Ltd. At GFC, a company developed in Taiwan, we have continuously evolved the elevator and escalator industry since 1974 by pushing its standards to new levels. In 1974, GFC imported and installed the first set Toshiba elevator in Taiwan. 30 years later, GFC s nationwide sales of elevators /escalators exceeded 30,000 units, allowing us to become and maintain the status of one of the three largest elevator suppliers in Taiwan.) In 1993, GFC furnished the 51-story, Shin-Kong Life Tower, which was then Taipei s landmark, with its elevators and escalators. Despite the praise by many for our outstanding techniques and excellent aftermarket service, it was still somewhat of a surprise to many that the project of building a vertical transportation works for Taipei 101 commercial building was awarded to GFC in Taipei 101, setting the world record for the tallest commercial building, is equipped with 2 sets of elevator provided by GFC. Clocked at the speed of 1,010 meters per minute, these two elevators are recognized as the world s fastest elevators by Guinness World Records.
