5 Remote Mine Hunting System (RMS) Independent Review Team (IRT) Implementation Plan Based on TECHEVAL performance, LCS MCM MP IOC was delayed and an RMS IRT established. Current way ahead includes: Near-term employment of MCM MP to gain Fleet experience. Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) and Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS) will achieve Initial Operational Capability (IOC) 1QFY17. Common Unmanned Surface Vehicle (CUSV) will be the tow vehicle for the mine hunting sonar. RMMV will be used to continue AN/AQS-20 test, data collection, and support user evaluation. 12 AMNS-Archerfish System Description The AMNS mine neutralization system deploys from an MH-60S helicopter and carries up to 4 Archerfish expendable Destructors. The Destructor carried on the Launch and Handling System (LHS) is controlled from the Common Console through a fiber optic cable.
