The wide-mode adjustable 2nd-row seats have two distinct seating configurations, giving adult passengers more space or making room for up to three full-sized child seats on SE trims and above. Plus, you can move your child in the available centre seat almost six inches closer to the front seats. The Odyssey is equipped with advanced driver-assisting technology to help you do just that. On the Touring trim, there s the Blind Spot Information system 1 (BSI), which is designed to notify you of vehicles entering either blind spot, using indicator lights. You can also get a better look at what s behind you with the standard expanded view driver s mirror, standard rearview camera 1 or the available multi-angle rearview camera 1. Signal right and a live video displays on your dashboard screen, revealing nearly four times more area than the mirror alone. Rearview camera 1 A rearview camera comes standard on the Odyssey, so you can get a better view of what s behind you. The available multi-angle rearview camera 1 has three different angles, including wide, normal and topdown, for added perspective and easier reversing. Functionality makes its way into every inch of the Odyssey, including the engine bay, which features a 3.5-litre i-vtec V6 engine that delivers 248 horsepower 1 and 250 lb.-ft. of torque. 1 Together with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM ) and the standard 6-speed automatic transmission, the Odyssey achieves one of the best fuel economy ratings in its class for an 8-passenger minivan 2,3. ACTIVE SAFETY Controlled braking To help with safe stopping, the 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System 1 (ABS) is designed to help you maintain control under hard braking conditions, while Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps to optimize braking power based on weight distribution inside the vehicle. Further, Brake Assist is engineered to help improve braking performance by applying full brake pressure when a panic stop is detected. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA ) with Traction Control Vehicle Stability Assist 1 with Traction Control is designed to sense and help correct oversteer and understeer scenarios to enhance handling and cornering stability, while Traction Control is designed to minimize wheel spin when accelerating on loose or slippery surfaces, helping to inspire greater driver confidence. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) For enhanced safety and fuel efficiency, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System 3 continually checks the air pressure in each tire. If pressure drops in any one tire, the driver receives a dashboard alert. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system The available Forward Collision Warning system 1,2 uses an onboard camera designed to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you and issue alerts if you re approaching with too much speed. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system Using a camera behind the rearview mirror, the available Lane Departure Warning system 1,2 is designed to monitor vehicle lane position and alert you when your vehicle drifts into a new lane when you haven t signaled. PASSIVE SAFETY Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE ) II body structure The highly innovative, next generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) II body structure is engineered to help disperse frontal impact energy to enhance occupant protection, while more effectively controlling it in severe collisions, to help prevent intrusion into the passenger cabin. Solid frame structure Like all Honda trucks, the Odyssey is built with a rigid unit-body frame for added strength, stability and vehicle handling. Six standard airbags The cabin of the Odyssey is lined with six standard airbags. It features dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS) as well as three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensors, which are designed to deploy the side curtain airbags in the event of a rollover. Plus, it has Smartvent side airbags, which are designed to deploy safely in a manner that mitigates the risk of injury to out-of-position or smaller occupants.
