3 Overachiever is an understatement. At Honda, we re always looking for ways to do more. Well, the 2015 CR-V is no exception. This year, we ve upped its functionality by adding tech features like the available Display Audio System 1 with HondaLink 1,2 Next Generation and by introducing available Honda Sensing technologies that include features like the Collision Mitigation Braking System 1,3 (CMBS ) and Adaptive Cruise Control 1 (ACC). Overall, we ve designed the CR-V with greater efficiency in mind, including the addition of the Direct Injection Earth Dreams engine and the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Sticking with tradition, versatility remains a cornerstone of the CR-V, with features such as the easy fold-down 60/40 split rear seatback, available power tailgate and low cargo floor. The available dual-zone automatic climate control with air-filtration system is dedicated to making your driving environment perfect, and the driver s seat with available 10-way power adjustment including power lumbar support reaches a new level of comfort. This is taken even further with the available driver s seat position memory feature, which helps you keep the setting that suits you best. Choose from three distinct angles wide, normal and top-down to help you take a couple points off your most complex turns. Gone are the days when unlocking and starting your vehicle required fishing through your pocket or purse. With the available proximity key entry system with pushbutton start, your door unlocks automatically when you grab the handle and the engine fires up with the push of a button. Could hitting the road be any easier? The available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with bilingual Voice Recognition can recognize and respond to casual command phrases in addition to numbers, street names and cities. And, because it s housed on the available Display Audio System 1 touch-screen, you can swipe, drag and pinch to zoom in on your maps. The standard HandsFreeLink -bilingual Bluetooth wireless mobile phone interface 1,2 connects with your compatible smartphone so you can make or answer calls without taking your hands off the wheel. This year, the new 2.4-litre, 16-valve Direct Injection DOHC i-vtec 4-cylinder engine provides the CR-V with 185 horsepower 1 and 181 lb.-ft. of torque 1 to play with, while the continuously variable transmission (CVT) feels smooth and natural while increasing fuel efficiency. Earth Dreams technology comes to the CR-V for the first time this year, and is designed to improve fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance. Lane Keeping Assist System 1,2 (LKAS) The available LKAS is engineered to gently correct your steering when you begin to leave a detected lane without signaling, applying torque progressively to the steering to help guide you back to the centre of the lane. Honda LaneWatch blind spot display 1 Keep more of your right side in sight with the available Honda LaneWatch blind spot display. Exclusive to Honda 3 and new to the CR-V this year, it sends a live video feed from a camera mounted under your passengerside mirror to the 7" Display Audio System 1 screen, revealing nearly four times more visibility than just the mirror alone. Adaptive Cruise Control 1 (ACC) This available radar-based system is designed to keep a set speed and a set interval from a car detected directly in front of you. Lane Departure Warning 1,2 (LDW) system Using a camera behind the rearview mirror, the available Lane Departure Warning system is designed to monitor vehicle lane position and alert you when your vehicle drifts into a new lane when you haven t signaled. 1. ACTIVE SAFETY 2015 CR-V SAFETY At Honda, we are committed to providing one of the highest levels of standard safety features to help ensure the safety of occupants, other drivers and even pedestrians. Controlled braking To help with safe stopping, the 4-wheel Antilock Braking System 1 (ABS) is designed to help you maintain control under hard braking conditions, while Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps to optimize braking power based on weight distribution inside the vehicle. Further, Brake Assist is engineered to help improve braking performance by applying full brake pressure when a panic stop is detected. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA ) with Traction Control Vehicle Stability Assist 1 with Traction Control is designed to sense and help correct oversteer and understeer scenarios to enhance handling and cornering stability, while Traction Control is designed to minimize wheel spin when accelerating on loose or slippery surfaces, helping to inspire greater driver confidence. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) For enhanced safety and fuel efficiency, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System 2 continually checks the air pressure in each tire. If pressure drops in any one tire, the driver receives a dashboard alert. Hill Start Assist 1 When you take your foot off the brake, this feature is engineered to temporarily maintain brake pressure to help prevent your CR-V from rolling backwards when stopped on an incline. PASSIVE SAFETY Next Generation ACE body structure The highly innovative next generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE ) II body structure is engineered to help disperse frontal impact energy to help enhance occupant protection, while more effectively controlling it in severe collisions to help prevent intrusion into the passenger cabin. Six standard airbags The cabin of the CR-V is lined with six standard airbags, including side curtain airbags with rollover sensors, which are designed to deploy the side curtain airbags in the event of a rollover. Plus, it has Smartvent side airbags, which are designed to deploy safely in a manner that mitigates the risk of injury to out-of-position or smaller occupants. HondaLink Assist 1,3,4 Automatic Emergency Response System The available HondaLink Assist Automatic Emergency Response System helps you get the help you need when you need it most. If the airbags deploy, your Display Audio System 1 is engineered to automatically attempt to put you on a call with an operator who will forward your location to first responders if needed. It works with any compatible Bluetooth -paired phone as long as it has reception, does not require a subscription and gives you peace of mind while you re on the road.
