We also recognize the contribution from Fine Designs and Clickers Archery. Comments Another warm weekend, with Saturday being quite hot. On Saturday, the World Archery and Metrics day, a number of Archers were able to claim UK Records subject to ratification. Sunday was another good day, although windy with the odd thundery shower with further archers able to claim new UK Records for various Bristol rounds. Well done to you all. Thanks to all who helped with the event, including the staff at Lilleshall, the National Tournaments Work Party and the Judges. They are all unpaid volunteers, who give up their time to work at this and every other National Event. In addition, the National Junior Committee were present throughout the weekend. Special thanks to the parents and friends who brought the archers, scored, moved targets and supported. Thank you all. And just a brief apology for the length on time it s taken to publish the final results. The use of the PDAs to score at the target was a great success and we hope that you quickly learnt how to use the system. Unfortunately because we are now recording the score of every arrow, it has highlighted the number of addition errors that were on the paper scoresheets. We wanted to ensure that the final results were accurate. However we do need to make mention of changing arrow values on the paper scoresheets. Our Judges were very clear that corrections should only be made by a judge, and reminders were made throughout the weekend yet there were a number of corrections not made in red pen. If you are submitting a record claim and there is an arrow value that has not been corrected by a Judge, the claim will not be accepted. Please don t let this happen to you!!! The Judges are very friendly and always happy to run across the field to help you, (we do need to keep them busy and earn their keep) so do call them over.
