8 ASHCROFT Diaphragm seals A diaphragm seal is a device which is mounted between pressure gauges, switches or transducers and the process to prevent toxins, corrosives, slurries or viscous fluids from damaging the instruments or block the measurement. ASHCROFT diaphragm seals offer a variety of materials and connections. Since 1976, we have produced and designed ASHCROFT - and HEISE instruments in Baesweiler (near Aachen). We assemble and calibrate our transducers in a special indoor production cell, under controlled ambient conditions and equippedwith calibration stands and testing equipment.
