Only European models get this. Q: Roadside parking lights A: When the vehicle is parked, the left or right parking lamps can be switched on. After you press the switch for left or right, the lights will come on once the engine is shut off. The parking lights will continue to come on until the switch is pressed to turn it off. Note: Before beginning to verification process, please ensure the vehicle is turned on or in Accessory Mode (triple tap the ignition switch). 1. Verify that Touch Command Tablet is paired to the vehicle. (My Vehicle --> System Settings --> Mobile Devices --> Touch Command Tablet Paired) 2. If the Touch Command Tablet is paired, please ensure that it is set to control the vehicle and not on Internet Hotspot. Vehicles will arrive at the dealers with both ConnectedDrive Services (normal) active and also capable of transmitting data over the Hotspot network. The Dealer Demo period is 3MB / 6 months whichever comes first. 3MB is not a lot of data but all dealers need to do is to simply navigate to one internet page to demo the service. Once the Demo usage is exhausted on any given VIN, open access to the internet is cut-off. This is necessary to prevent possible abuse of the free Wi-Fi (BMW pays for the data usage during the demo period). Once the vehicle is retailed, it triggers the activation of the 3GB / 3 month Trial Period for the customer. One option for dealers in the case of a vehicle with exhausted Demo usage, is for them to demo the Hotspot by taking the customer through the Trial Period Registration process with AT&T which can be done while in the vehicle using the Hotspot. < Back to Topic Links 11
