To insure maximum sensitivity and accuracy, the turbine is suspended on sapphire jewel bearings, and its rotation is sensed by an infrared light beam which adds no friction. The resulting signal is processed electronically by a large scale integrated circuit for improved reliability and reduced size. A special three digit display is used for extra resolution and provides excellent viewing contrast in bright sunlight. A handy switch selects between four different scales for unmatched versatility. 6 ROTATING VANE ANEMOMETERS The LCA30VT is an electronic rotating vane anemometer providing a direct reading of air velocity. It has a single push button control in the hand grip. When this button is pressed and held down, the instrument averages the air velocity over three or six seconds. The air velocity is displayed digitally, and the reading is held as long as the button remains depressed. The LCA30VA operates on the same basis but can also provide direct reading of volume flow with the facility to directly input duct or grille area. The LCA30is offers the same features as the LCA30VA but is certified by BASEEFA to be intrinsically safe to EEx ia IIC T5 Zone 0 hazardous areas. All units are completely self-contained battery powered units requiring no separate timer, and can be used with one hand. They are robust and reliable, and no mechanical link between the vane and the readout; the vane itself is the only moving part. The casing is molded from a high impact ABS material. 10 Model DA40H Digital Hygro-Thermometer Anemometer is a versatile instrument for measuring air velocity, temperature and relative humidity. Special features include being switchable between feet per minute (fpm) and meters per second (mps). Also, the temperature reading is switchable between F and C. Included is a hold/reset button so that the display can be frozen when recording readings. It can also indicate the average, minimum and maximum readings. Air velocity readings can be averaged over 2 seconds or 16 seconds.this instrument is a must for any one in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry. Specific applications include environmental monitoring, paint booths, air balancing and many others where accurate air velocity, temperature and relative humidity are essential. Model HTA4200, in addition to all of the outstanding features offered by the DA40H, has datalogging and memory storage capabilities. Up to 1,000 triple measurements (%RH, F/ C, and fpm/mps) can be stored and the collected data can be transferred to a printer or PC through a RS-232C interface. Data acquisition can be performed manually or automatically with the optional timer. The HTA4200 also features three analog outputs. 43 MANOMETERS Dwyer Flex-Tube Well-Type Manometers are designed to meet the need for a direct reading single column instrument capable of providing highly accurate pressure readings, positive, negative or differential. Unlike other makes, Dwyer manometers have no hidden wells or packing glands. These manometers are constructed of shatter-proof, clear plastic tubing permanently secured to well assemblies by leak-proof glued joints. Well assemblies are precisely machined from solid acrylic plastic. Over pressure safety traps give absolute protection against loss of fluid. Heavy pure white acrylic plastic scales have crisp black silk-screened figures and graduations sealed with clear mylar coating. Scales are adjusted by quick acting, positive mechanism.
