EBUSES DEMAND ANALYSIS To understand how the growth of ebuses demand in Europe matches with the capability of the European industries to support such demand. Note. From point of view, the whole paradigm of clean alternative fuels should be considered. Several European cities have published strategic plans for the introduction of electric buses (or other alternative fuel solutions) on a large scale. 16 APTA Bus & paratransit Conference Charlotte 2016

EBUSES DEMAND ANALYSIS The ZeEUS project has performed a survey to collect city plans in order to characterize the potential ebus demand in coming years. high capacity (12m and more) electric Buses Scenario up to 2025 (2030) No need for detailed information Consulted: ZeEUS Core Demonstrations Bus Committee and Organising Authority Com Gathered answers from 19 PTO/PTA representing 25 cities or regions 40.000 buses in total Mostly North / Central Europe 17 APTA Bus & paratransit Conference Charlotte 2016

Support to the Demand 2025 scenario would see a growing trend for of electric vehicles Today such buses are produced and put in service in relatively low numbers. Necessary to understand the capacity and strategy of Bus industries to support such demand Some qualitative considerations about ebuses Offer evolution are presented in the next slide APTA Bus & paratransit Conference Charlotte 2016 22
