However, such units are accompanied by a demerit that they require external components such as large aluminum heatsink, cooling fan, and electrolytic capacitor. On the other hand, 100W ET Series products do not need an additional heatsink despite their amazing compactness, due to their high efficiency resulting in small self-loss (5.8W for 5V output product). Furthermore, no external capacitor is needed due to a built-in output electrolytic capacitor they have. Considering the above, as a way of configuring multi-output power supply system with large output, ETA Electric is proposing a new method of mounting the ET Series product to a chassis, which has higher flexibility over the method of mounting a power module on a printed circuit board for the above reasons. 080 ETA POWER CATALOG BOOK 2009
