Meet the tutor evening 1 st November from 3.30pm Each of you will be invited to make a short appointment with your daughter s tutor. This is an opportunity to discuss transition and her pastoral progress. We will book through our electronic system and details will be sent in due course

Students must be at their desks ready to start at 8.30am. If your daughter is sick you must call the absence line. Mrs Digby-Thomas, our attendance officer will log all absence. If you know your daughter will miss school please let us know as far in advance as possible. Please try to make appointments outside of school hours as this will affect your daughters attendance. Attendance is carefully monitored

The Intervention Team can be accessed for numerous types of support. This can be in the form of a structured programme of support or just for some short term advice and nurturing. Our aim is to work with students who are struggling with the barriers to learning whether it be emotional social or behavioural issues on a 1:1 or group basis through therapeutic interventions. We operate an open door policy and are accessible to students all day. Year 7 students are mostly taught in their form groups. The girls are in set classes for maths. English and science will not set until year 9. For tech, the girls are mixed with other students on their side of the year. Sets are regularly reviewed.

So far, the girls have earnt over 2000 achievement points. Achievement points are given out for lots of different things. From demonstrating respect or helping a friend to a great piece of work in class. Headteacher s Commendations are for particularly impressive behaviour. Tutor group half termly prizes include Pizza lunch, ice cream van Final achievement assembly Fitbit, echo dot and Wireless Headphones

We sent 15 star certificates last week to students who have impressed the year 7 team over the week.

Year 7 Students are not receiving homework in this first half term. We encourage our students to go to as many clubs as possible but they must attend at least 2 a week Club lists are displayed all over the school. if you would like to see the timetable it is available on the Enrichment section of the school website along with information about clubs that need to be paid for.
