... process flow measurement can t be easier or more adaptable one all-metal flowmeter two indicator sections: M9 and M7 three electrical options: ESK, ESK-Z, K four material options for the measuring section: stainless steel, Hastelloy, ceramics, PTFE Description The flowmeter for liquids and gases is an all-metal flowmeter which operates on the float principle. Depending on the flowrate, the float will assume a certain vertical position in the tube. The float position is transmitted by a magnetic coupling system to the scale. The flowmeter is designed for installation in a vertical pipe run with flow from bottom to top. The rugged construction of the variable-area flowmeter makes it particularly suitable for difficult application and environmental conditions. The flowmeter can be equipped with either the M9 or the M7 indicator. In the M9 indicator, the rotational movement of the follower magnet system is transmitted to the indicator without being linearized and the flowrate value is indicated directly on the scale. In the M7 indicator, the rotational movement of the follower magnet system is mechanically linerarized via a cam plate and the flowrate is indicated on the scale. Special features Measuring section Resistant to extreme chemical, mechanical and thermal loads Measuring section of rugged all-metal construction All components replaceable Tapered measuring tube All weld seams accessible for X-ray examination Bunched bar magnets in the float ensure interference-free data transmission Float damper made of aluminium oxide (Al 2 O 3 ), can also be retrofitted Heating jacket available for the measuring section / ceramic Suitable for most acids and alkalis Excellent long-term stability All wetted parts made of ceramics (Al 2 O 3 ) or PTFE M9 indicator Direct flow indication Indirectly mounted indicator (HT version) for use in conjunction with high process temperatures Electrical signal output (ESK II) with HART Communication (can be retrofitted) One or two limit switches (K) adjustable on the scale (can be retrofitted) Flow totalizer ESK-Z in conjunction with the ESK II current output (can be retrofitted) Multipole ring magnet with eddy-current brake M7 indicator Linear flow rate indicator Electrical signal output (ESK) Pneumatic signal output (can be retrofitted) One or two limit switches (K) adjustable on the scale (can be retrofitted) ESK electrical current output Float position sensed by magnetic sensors Non-interacting and hysteresis-free conversion of the flow value into a scaled current output (4-20 ma) Linearization of the current output via electronic memory module 2
Modular, all-metal flowmeter for liquid and gas measurement in all sectors of industry A module rack in the M9 indicator accommodates all electrical components and also the scale plate. The modules of the ESK II, ESK-Z, K1 or K2 electrical options and the scale plate are simply plugged into the module rack. The modules can be replaced or retrofitted without interrupting the process. Should process temperatures exceed the max. allowable temperatures for the standard version, the indicator can be subsequently fitted with an adapter to suit the new operating conditions. The flowmeter can be initially equipped or retrofitted with magnetic filters and/or a float damper. Various materials and different liners are available for the measuring section.
