Pfundt in 1936, GMP started operations in a downtown Philadelphia building as a specialty machine shop doing work for the local Bell Telephone company and for the electric utility company. GMP expanded to a production shop after landing a contract with Western Electric Company and, subsequently, forming a close relationship with Bell Telephone Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ, which enabled it to manufacture prototypes of products for experimental use within the Bell System. GMP's 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Trevose is equipped with a full complement of technologically advanced machine tools manned by a well-trained team of craftspeople. Our own engineering staff conduct research & development of GMP's products using computer aided design, a prototype fabrication shop and an on-site testing facility. GMP continues to make investments in new product R&D, state-of the-art manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution and inventory control techniques, and physical plant, in order to maintain its manufacturing leadership position and its continuing ability to anticipate and meet the changing needs of work crews in the field who rely on the ruggedness, practicality and safety of GMP equipment. As our quality policy statement affirms: "GMP supplies defect-free products and service, on time, which meet its customers' expectations." In 2004, CBS Products joined forces with GMP to further enhance the global reach and breadth of our outside plant equipment capabilities. As of June 2017 the business of GMP Tools and CBS Products were acquired by Klein Tools of the USA. Renamed GMP Products (KT), LLC, we continue to be the same engineering talent and innovative solution providers. Member of 3

DUCT RODDING Continuous Duct Rodders GMP produces the best performing and most durable duct rodders available anywhere - at a price that represents the very best value. Decades of in-field use have proven this high visibility, orange rod material to have the ideal combination of the mechanical properties of tensile strength, modulus, stiffness and bending behavior. These duct rodders are essential tools for underground tasks such as cleaning and locating ducts, threading lines or pulling cables. Rodders come equipped with a male threaded end fitting and tapered head on the leading end and a female threaded fitting on the back end. Our carriers are made of tubular steel and are powder coated for corrosion resistance. Larger diameter carriers have inboard wheels for easy transport at the job site. Cable Pulling Harnesses This convenient product will allow multiple pulls at one time by attaching 2 to 4 cables or ducts to the Puller. The slings are manufactured from aircraft quality wire rope. The various legs are staggered in length so the individual connections are not interfering with each other. The lead coupler can be easily dismantled to change out a leg or to add another leg. Each leg is marked with load capacity and they are pull tested to 3 times that rating. The safety factor of 3:1 is based on equal pull on all cables, (horizontal pull only). Other sling configurations are available upon request. P/N Number of Legs Maximum Harness Width Safe Working Load (3:1) Wire Rope Diameter Leg Lengths 70298 3 2 1/4" (57mm) 2000 lbs. These simple tools provide an inexpensive fracture point between the pulling line and cable avoiding costly cable damage by preventing the cable s rated pulling capacity from being exceeded. The swivels are available in two diameters; 7/8" (22.23mm) made from high quality aluminum and 5/8" (15.88mm) made from steel. The 5/8" size is extremely convenient when working with innerduct sizes below 1 5/8" in diameter. The design of the swivels incorporates a replaceable tension bolt that joins the barrel eye and swivel body. The bolt separates when pulling loads on the cable reach +/-5%. The damaged bolt can then be replaced in seconds using the Allen wrench (included) and screwdriver. Flexible Pulling Grips Pulling Grips, sometimes referred to as pulling socks or stockings, are indispensable in many different cable pulling applications. Manufactured from high-tensile, galvanized steel wire that is evenly hand woven in a single, double or triple wire weave according to pulling tension requirements. We reverse weave our grips which create a loop at the end of the grip instead of being crimped or soldered together. The wire is then joined under the crimped head. This creates a higher quality product that outlasts the competition. Single Weave P/N Diameter Range Min. Breaking Grip Length 70660.24-.51" (6-13mm) 1984 lbs. The SDR designation determines the pipe minimum wall thickness. To calculate a particular pipes wall thickness simply divide its nominal outside diameter by its SDR value. For example a 4" Pipe that is designated SDR 11 will have a minimum wall thickness of.409" (4.5" / 11 =.409"). The one-piece cone design incorporates a full sleeve, which completely encloses the jaws. During set-up and operation this sleeve prevents the polyethylene pipe from over expanding and rupturing. Key components are hardened alloy steel to ensure that the pulling eye will not fail before the pipe. A swiveling eye nut provides for the attachment of a pulling line. The Pulling Eyes will accommodate O.D. controlled pipe only. Expanding Jaw Pulling Eyes P/N Nom. AERIAL TOOLS Strand Tensionmeter Commonly referred to as a Strand Dynamometer, the Strand Tensionmeter is used in tensioning new strand and in measuring the tension in existing strand. Assures that utilities maintain proper cable clearances to comply with all requirements specified in the National Electric Safety Code s Uniform System of Clearances. Is a precision instrument which can quickly measure tensions of 1/4" (6.6M) Extra High Strength, 5/16" (6M), 3/8" 10M) and 7/16" (16M) Utilities Grade, zinc coated guy wires and messenger cables per ASTM A-475 No battery to run down and let you down-100% mechanical. One piece construction measures all sizes. No saddles to loose. Used on strands having less than 10,000 lbs. of tension. The Tension meter measures tension in pounds force with an average accuracy of plus or minus 3%. The maximum error magnitude can be the greater of 7% or 150 pounds force with a 3% frequency. This plated steel instrument measures the force required to deflect the strand to an out of line position, registering this force on an integral dial. Is furnished with an analog thermometer, temperature compensation charts, detailed instructions and a hard shell plastic carrying case cushioned with foam rubber for protection. A registered serial number is stamped on each handle. Strand tension readings may be taken at any convenient point in the span. The actual strand tension is easily determined by referring to the furnished calibration chart. The user converts the dial indicator reading into the tension value. The data on the chart indicates the dial reading of the tensionmeter corresponding to the amount of strand tension, in 100 pound increments, for the normal tension range of each strand size. To ensure accurate measurements of different ambient temperature conditions, take a temperature reading with your thermometer and refer to the temperature compensation charts.
