SEQUENCE OF OPERATION For use o Ruski AMS uits with Trasducer or AMS070V Cotroller Optio 1 Maual Balacig The uit is istalled i the outside air opeig ad furished with a maual lockig had quadrat ad a pressure trasducer. Uder flow, the trasducer output is checked with a volt meter ad compared to the pressure chart (P.A.M.S.). The damper is maually adjusted util the voltage output is equal to the desired CFM flow. The trasducer output sigal ca be wired to the BAS to prove flow. CFM ca be determied by referecig the chart ad utilizig the followig formula below. Both Ka ad l/m values are costats. See the PAMS chart provided with your uit for Ka ad l/m for your specific uit. CFM = (AREA * Ka) * PAMS (1/m) Optio 2 BAS Cotrol The uit is istalled i the outside air opeig ad furished with a trasducer ad a 24V modulatig damper actuator. Uder flow, the trasducer output produces a voltage sigal to the Buildig Automatio System (BAS). The BAS calculates the CFM based o the formula ad velocity pressure (P.A.M.S.). The BAS seds a cotrol sigal to the actuator to modulate to the desired CFM flow. Optio 3 Full Factory Cotrols The air measuremet statio with icluded cotrol damper is istalled i a outside air opeig i the buildig s evelope or i the supply, retur or exhaust air ductwork or i a air hadler. The air measuremet statio will be supplied with a correspodig actuator. The actuator will be drive by the AMS070V cotroller, based o the air measuremet statio s velocity pressure, to maitai a CFM set poit value. The AMS070V cotroller will drive the damper actuator to maitai a measured CFM value equal to the iput set poit. Each air measuremet statio supplied with the AMS070V optio will iclude a Iput / Output (I/O) chart showig the iput voltage (O-5VDC) correspodig to the rage of air flows to be cotrolled. The I/O chart will also show the expected (4-20mA) aalog output, correspodig to the rage of air flows beig measured ad cotrolled. The AMS070V cotrol pael is powered from 120VAC ad ca be iterfaced with ay buildig automatio system. Cotrols The IAQ350XL Air Measurig Statio ca be purchased with or without full factory cotrols. Whe purchased without factory cotrols the IAQ350XL will be shipped with a Ruski low-pressure trasducer. The stadard trasducer is a Ruski DPT-IQ ad is factory cofigured for 0-1.0 iwc correspodig to a 0-10VDC output. The trasducer requires a power source of either 24 VDC or VAC ±10%. Optioal trasducers are also available. The formula provided o the PAMS (Pressure Across Measurig Statio) chart must be applied to covert the output from the low-pressure trasducer ito a CFM value. Each uit is provided with a PAMS chart developed specifically for that uit. Applyig other formulas may result i greater air measuremet error ad uacceptable results. Whe the optioal AMS070V full factory cotrols are ordered the IAQ350XL uit will ship with floatig damper actuators that are drive by two triac outputs from the cotroller. The AMS070V cotroller is factory programmed to the customer s specific requiremets ad accepts a 0-5V CFM setpoit iput from the buildig automatio system (BAS). The cotroller will produce a 4-20MA output sigal correspodig to the actual air flow at ay poit i time. The cotroller will modulate the damper positio to maitai the set- poit CFM value. The cotroller is equipped with a iteral pressure trasducer that coverts the differetial pressure from the air measuremet statio ito the measured air flow value. The AMS070V cotroller is housed i a x x 6" NEMA1 eclosure with a 120/208/240VAC to 24VAC trasformer. Each cotroller is shipped with a iput output chart showig the iput ad output scalig for that specific uit. Cotact Ruski with the cotrol umber to obtai the calibratio charts for your specific uit. Optioal AMS070V Cotrol Pael Istallatio 1. The cotroller eclosure should be mouted securely o a adjacet wall or attached to the air hadlig uit. The pael should be mouted withi 100 feet of the IAQ350XL to assure proper pressure sigal fuctio. If the eclosure must be mouted more tha 100 feet from the IAQ350XL, please cosult your local Ruski represetative or the compay that you purchased the device from. 2. Loose the eclosure cover screws ad remove the cover. 3. Remove the appropriate kock-outs for coectio of the field wirig to the eclosure s termial blocks. 4. Faste the eclosure to the wall or flat surface usig the four moutig holes i the back of the pael eclosure. Wirig ad Pipig Coectios 1. Coect 120/208/240VAC power supply to the IAQ350XL cotrol pael L1 ad L2. 2. Coect the three actuator wires as show (see page 9). Coect the black (com) wire to cotroller termial 24H. Coect the red wire to cotroller termial 24G (com) termial. Please ote actuator wirig is as listed above, red 24G, black 24H. 3. Coect 0-5VDC sigal from the BAS to UI (uiversal iput) ad commo. Observe polarity. 4. Coect 4-20mA aalog output AO ad Commo from the cotroller to the BAS system. Observe polarity. 5. Coect pressure tubig from the cotroller to the airflow sesig blade, coectig the low pressure port to the blade side earest the damper ad the high pressure port to the blade side earest the louver. 6. Maiteace 1. Semi-aually the damper tie-bar likage ad the jackshaft (if used) or exteded shaft bearigs should be lubricated with silicoe free lubricat. 2. Damper blade axle bearigs do ot ormally require lubricatio. 3. Whe dampers are istalled where they are exposed to heavy dust-lade air, frequet flushig of the damper axle bearigs with water is recommeded for exteded bearig life. 4. Discoect the sesig tubes betwee the damper ad the pressure trasducer or cotroller. Apply a clea pressurized air source to the air pipig coectios at the IAQ350XL frame i order to blow out the sesig ports i the fixed sesig blades of the IAQ350XL. DO NOT coect this air source to the pressure trasducer or cotrol modules. This will damage the istrumets. Replace tubig to the equipmet i reverse order of removal. 5. The louver blade sectio of the IAQ350XL ad the air sesig blades should be aually ispected for particulate build-up. Use a damp cloth to wipe clea the sesig blade surface.
