System Overview The Driver Application is an ELD Compliant Electronic Hours of Service Solution that is very easy to use, and will help the driver save a lot of time while going through their day. The driver does not have to worry about changing their duty status or completing their logs and marking locations. The Application does all of that for them. There are only three (3) steps required to use the system as a Driver goes through their day. Each of those steps will be discussed in the following pages of this manual. This guide should be carried in the Vehicle Cab and used as a reference manual should the Driver need help with the system. There are many other features incorporated into the Driver Application. The driver should refer to the full manual for descriptions and usage of those additional features and functions. Page: 3

During The Day: Step 3: Post Trip Vehicle Inspection (continued) Walk around the Vehicle with the Mobile Device - checking off boxes ONLY for items that FAIL the Inspection on the Vehicle, Trailer or Emergency Equipment. When finished make sure to sign off on the Post Trip Vehicle Inspection. This will also place the driver into Off Duty. The Driver can now sign out of the application. Page: 7
During The Day: Taking A Break If you need to take an OFF DUTY Break at any time during the day, you must go into the Change Duty Status Screen and manually set your Duty Status to Off Duty. Click the Change Duty Status Button on the Dashboard of the Driver Application. Select the appropriate Duty Status as necessary. The Vehicle MUST be stopped in order to change your duty status. IMPORTANT: Rest Break Duty Status can also be used for an Off Duty Break during the day. Rest Break also places the driver into Off Duty - a notation is made on the bottom of the Driver Log (DDL) when Rest Break is used and when Rest Break ends. Page: 8
During The Day: I NEED HELP If the Driver needs help at any time during the day, another feature exists that will send a Support Request to the Administrative (Internal) Users at the Motor Carrier. To access this feature, select Support from the Dropdown Menu which is located at the top left hand side of the screen. Next, click the I Need Help Button to access the Support Feature and enter necessary information into the following screen and click Request Help. Your message will be delivered immediately to Administrative (Internal) Users. You will be notified when you receive a response. Page: 9
Driver Daily Guide - Text Version The following outlines a Driver s Daily Operating Instructions for the Hours of Service Application. This is the Text Only Version. Beginning of Day: 1. Begin each day by logging into the Driver Application and Create a Trip. 2. Perform your Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection. Make sure you sign off on the DVIR. During the Day: 1. Use Interim Inspections if necessary. 2. If taking an Off Duty Break during the day, manually set your duty status to Off Duty or Rest Break when required. 3. Be ready to show your logs to a requesting officer at any time as required. 4. Provide the DOT Officer with Instructions on how to obtain the required information from the e-log Application if requested. End of Day: 1. At the end of EACH DAY, you MUST perform a Post Trip Vehicle Inspection. This closes out your current trip and your day allowing you (or another Driver) to create a new trip at the beginning of the next work day using the current vehicle. 2. SIGN OFF on the Post Trip Vehicle Inspection to complete the process. Automated Duty Status Changes: Performing Vehicle Trip Inspections will put you into On Duty Not Driving Duty Status. When you Sign Off on the Post Trip Vehicle Inspection, the Driver will be placed into the Off Duty Status to end their day! Page: 10
