OPERATG PRCIPLE: Thrugh its effective and cnstant actin, the magnetic filter cllects all the impurities present in the, preventing them frm circulating within it, thus aviding wear and damage f the rest f the cmpnents making up the, circulatrs and heat exchangers in particular. MG1 perfrms as cntinuus prtective actin n the biler. USE: It is advised t install MG1 n the return circuit, at the inlet f the biler, in rder t prtect it frm any impurities in the, especially during the start-up phase. Thanks t its cmpact dimensins, it can be installed under the biler, in s fr dmestic use, where installatin spaces are very limited and there is n rm fr a traditinal dirt separatr. DEGREE OF FILTRATION: MG1 remves magnetic and nnmagnetic particles that may cause damages t the during the first day f peratin. The cntinuus passage f the fluid thrugh the filter during the nrmal peratin f the n which it is installed, gradually remves any dirt. WARNGS: This filter cntains pwerful magnet, and strng magnetic fields are present within it. We recmmend the hlders f pacemaker devices t keep at a safe distance during the filter peratin and / r maintenance. Pay attentin t the use f electrnic equipment in the vicinity f the magnets, s as nt t affect their peratin.

In the filtratin chamber, thanks t the simultaneus actin f: - magnet - filtering cartridge - directin f the fluid given by the specific internal gemetry in the different phases, water is filtered frm ferrus sludge. First f all, the sudden crss-sectin variatin (the filtering chamber has a greater diameter than the cnduit) slws dwn the fluid mtin and, cnsequently, the entrainment rate f the particles suspended in it, thus preventing them frm aviding the actin exerted by the magnetic field. The larger particles cllide with the mesh f the filter cartridge and then slw dwn befre circulating again. The magnet, placed inside a cylinder at the centre f the filtratin chamber, attracts all the impurities having magnetic characteristics. In the filter installatin cnfiguratin with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing dwnwards, the heavier particles fall dwnwards due t gravity, which prevails ver the drag frce. In this way, all magnetic (ferrus residues) and nn-magnetic (algae, sludge, sand, etc.) cntaminants in the are retained in the filtratin chamber. The stainless steel cartridge was develped in rder nt t exert excessive resistance t the passage f fluid (lw lad lsses) and t favur a mtin f the fluid itself that cntributes t bring the heaviest particles t the bttm. STALLATION It is advised t install MG1 n the return circuit, at the inlet f the biler, in rder t prtect it frm any impurities in the, especially during the start-up phase. Thanks t a series f design slutins, MG1 is characterised by an extreme installatin versatility: it can be munted either with the cartridge/filter bdy facing the frnt and dwnwards. In case f limited space available under the biler (e.g., biler installed in kitchen cabinets), MG1 must be installed with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing the frnt. biler biler Layut 1 *: Applicatin f MG1 with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing the frnt. Layut 2: Applicatin f MG1 with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing the frnt and with line cnnectins. If there is mre space available fr installatin, it is pssible t psitin MG1 with the main cartridge/magnet bdy facing dwnwards. biler biler Layut 3: Applicatin f MG1 with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing dwnwards. Layut 4: Applicatin f MG1 with the main cartridge/filter bdy facing dwnwards and with line cnnectins. In rder t cmply with this installatin, it is advised t prvide fr islating valves n bth filter cnnectins (secnd ball valve available n request, cde 3174.05.20) In rder t allw the implementatin f these installatin cnfiguratins, it is sufficient t invert the psitin f the biler cnnectin swivel fitting and the ball valve (specifically in "Layut 2" and "Layut 4" als the drain cap) and rtate the filter by 90. This is pssible because all the cnnectins n the main bdy are made with the same thread G 3/4". Swivel cnnectin. Ball islating valve, cde 3174.05.20 Drain cap. MATENANCE TERVENTIONS FILTERG CARTRIDGE CLEANG: It is pssible t carry ut cartridge peridical cleaning peratins by unscrewing the lwer drain cap r the clsure filter cap. Befre cleaning MG1, ensure the wrking envirnment is safe. RBM recmmends that the biler is ff and the is allwed t cl at a rm temperature befre carrying ut any maintenance interventin, in rder t avid damages and burns. Intercept the filter t be serviced by clsing the ball valve(s). Carefully unscrew the lwer drain cap. Water will gradually drain (Fig. 1 / Fig. 2). In case f filter vertical installatin (Fig. 3 and Fig. 4), directly unscrew the filter cap with the help f a 29 mm wrench. Ensure that water is cllected in a cntainer f suitable dimensins. Once the water flw is interrupted, cmpletely remve the cver/filter cap. Extract the magnet prtectin cnduit frm the filter, s as t esily remve ferrus particles. Wash with water and thrughly rinse under the tap t cmpletely remve any impurities. Reassemble in reverse rder. Ensure there are n leaks prir t recmmissining. In rder t ensure a perfect hydraulic seal, and at the same time prevent damage t the cmpnents, in replacement f the filter bserve the fllwing tightening trques: - Clsure filter cap: tightening trque 10 12 Nm - Lwer drain cap: tightening trque 6 7 Nm N.B.: In installatin cnfiguratins shwn in Fig. 2 and Fig. 4, by intercepting bth the ball valves and by relieving the pressure in the filter by means f the drain cap, it is pssible t cmpletely remve the filter t facilitate maintenance peratins. It is imprtant t perfrm the cleaning peratin at least nce a year. In case f first applicatin, perfrm the first cleaning after a mnth.
