MB type sensors are ideal choices for a wide range of standard hydraulic cylinders. Magnetostrictive displacement sensors, high quality cylinders and precise control valves form ideal driving systems for technical demands of mobile hydraulics. The MH-Series Model MB sensor is designed with the mobile world in mind The Model MB sensor is validated in the field by customers worldwide. Ruggedness is designed in ; 5 g shock and 1 g vibration rating. The sensor is extremely rugged due to its simple mechanics. The head housing contains the signal converter and electronics. The pressureproof sensor pipe protects the internal sensing element, The position magnet is the only moving part. This permanent magnet travels wearfree and contactless along the stationary sensor tube. Its magnetic field starts the measurement signal through the sensors rod wall TYPICAL INDUSTRIES Construction Agriculture Off-highway Machinery All specifications are subject to change. Model MB Rod-Style Sensor Installation, Connections and Wiring Model MB sensor installation references The robust Temposonics Model MB sensor s new stainless-steel position sensor is designed for direct stroke measurement in mobile hydraulic cylinders. The Temposonics Model MB sensor can be installed from the head side or the rod side of the cylinder depending on the cylinder design. Installation Notes: 1. Use a non-ferrous circlip to fix the magnet. 2. The piston rod bore is dependent on hydraulic pressure and piston velocity. Minimum drilling for a (8 mm rod) should be 10 mm. 3. When installing the sensor in double rod steering cylinders the magnets are applied radialy into the piston. The validation of the signal regarding EMC and further technical details have to be carried out after consulting MTS.
