Produced summary of participants comments based on the Florida BRC online surveys between January 2010 and January 2012. Had a meeting with DHSMV in Tallahassee regarding motorcycle crash data. 1
Performed state by state research on other motorcycle safety programs, and vehicle miles traveled data for the state of Florida. Researched conspicuity of motorcyclists and how to report that data. Performed a state by state campaign comparison to see what other states are doing to get the word out about motorcycle safety. Reviewed academic journals on the effectiveness of motorcycle training classes, alcohol s effect on driving ability, and teenager behavior with regards to motorcycle usage. Reviewed other states latest activities regarding motorcycle safety. Supported 2012 Crime Stoppers Motorcycle Run held on February 11, 2012 and conducted motorcycle safety outreach during the event. 2
Conducted motorcycle safety outreach for our young generation during USF Engineering EXPO on 2/12/2012. Assisted Mr. Fred Heery to prepare a presentation on Motorcycle Safety for the Florida Transportation Builders Association Annual Construction Conference scheduled in March 2012. Worked with on Mr. Cory Richter on the Prom Promise video project. Worked with Mr. Dominick DeSiato on motorcycle violation inspection checklist video project. Assisted Ryder Trauma Center with coordinating a webinar on motorcycle safety, scheduled on May 24 2012. 3
Conducted teleconferences to discuss Daytona Beach Bike Week preparation. Prepared Daytona Beach Bike Week safety fact sheet. Helped coalition to prepare press release for Daytona Beach Bike Week. Supported motorcycle safety outreach and conducted event surveys during 2012 Daytona Beach Bike Week from March 9 to 18, 2012. Distributed motorcycle safety promotional items, and obtained motorcyclist surveys during Daytona Beach Bike Week from March 9 to 18, 2012. 4

Analyzed Hillsborough County motorcycle crash data and produced a presentation. Conducted Hillsborough County Motorcycle Community Action Plan Meeting on April 12, 2012. Provided FDOT District 7 with schedule of paid media campaigns on motorcycle safety in Tampa Bay area. Started to plan Broward County Motorcycle Community Action Plan Meeting in July 2012. Conducted None for the road, Share the Road and Lighten Up paid media campaigns. Fulfilled various orders through the RideSmartFlorida.com website. Responded to promotion/information/educational material requests. Ordered promotional items for distribution at events and via the website. Updated and produced new Economic Impact Cards, with the latest data. Updated the Look Twice and None for the Road tip cards with QR codes. 7

Explored mounting lighted and non-lighted billboards on moving commercial trucks and buses to promote motorcycle safety. Submitted the 2012 GHSA s Peter K. O'Rourke Special Achievement Award application for the Florida Motorcycle Safety Coalition. Continued work on the Motorcycle Safety Program gap analysis. Continued to work with FDOT to update the RideSmartFlorida.com website.
