Import full was up 6.07% with increases in iron & steel, food preparations and chemicals showing the three highest increases. Export full volumes decreased on the previous year by 24.33% with the largest decreases in paper and cereals. Export empties were up 23.65% on the previous year at over 79k TEU with continued repositioning from the peak period. There were 93 vessels visits in December 2017 compared with 94 in the previous year in this period. There were 8 additional vessel visits in the 6-7k TEU range while vessel visits between 3-5k TEU were down by 7 on the previous year.
