1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the preset buttons. 2. Open the hood. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Remove the radiator cover (ten clips and four retaining tabs). 5. Remove the air duct cover (two clips and pull it out toward you). 7. Route the fog light harness 2-pin connector through the front bulkhead and alongside the vehicle harness. 2-PIN 9. Remove and discard the lower bolt that secures the hood latch bracket. Using one ground bolt and the washer supplied, attach the fog light harness ground terminal to the hood latch bracket. 10. On left side of vehicle, secure the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with the five wire ties in the areas shown. Push the fog light harness clip into the hole in the body panel. HOLE 5411010P 8. Route the 2-pin connector end of the fog light harness to the front bulkhead alongside the vehicle harness. GROUND TERMINAL WASHER BOLT (Discard.) HOOD LATCH BRACKET GROUND BOLT 5411031P 11. On the right side of vehicle, secure the green tape part of the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with four wire ties. 17. Remove the two vehicle harnesses (two bolts). 19. Remove the two bolts that fasten the under-hood fuse/relay box. BOLTS (2) BOLTS (2) BOLT 18. Release the six retaining tabs and remove the under-hood fuse/relay box under cover. 22. Raise the under-hood fuse/relay box. (Raise.) 24. Unplug the vehicle 14-pin and 20-pin connectors from the under-hood fuse/relay box. Release the retainer on the vehicle 14-pin connector, and insert the fog light harness blue wire terminal into the vehicle 14-pin connector. Reattach the retainer on the 14-pin connector. 14-PIN FUSE/RELAY BOX UNDER COVER 4803040Y 23. Release the retainer on the vehicle 20-pin connector, and insert the fog light harness blue/ red wire terminal to the vehicle 20-pin connector. Reattach the retainer on the 20-pin connector. 26. 27. Secure the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with one short wire tie in the area shown. FUSE/RELAY BOX SHORT 31. Under the under-hood fuse/relay box, locate the vehicle 3-pin connector blue-taped to the vehicle harness, and remove the blue tape to free the connector. Connect the fog light harness 3-pin connector into the 3-pin connector you just freed. Secure the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with four wire ties in the area shown. UNDER- HOOD FUSE/ RELAY BOX BLUE- TAPE (Remove.) 3-PIN UNDER COVER 28. Reinstall the under-hood fuse/relay box under cover. Be careful not to pinch the wires. 4804010Y WIRE TIE 29. NOTE: If the 3-pin connector is already used by another accessory, locate the 3-pin connector taped to that other accessory harness. Remove the tape and dummy connector from that other accessory harness. Plug the fog light harness 3-pin connector into that other accessory harness. 33. Remove the mounting bolt that secures the vehicle bracket, and attach the relay bracket with this bolt, then plug the fog light harness 4-pin connector into the relay. MOUNTING BOLT (Reuse.) 35. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box cover (four retaining tabs). COVER Installing Fog Lights 38. Cut out the front bumper as shown. Cut out. Install the 20A fuse (provided) into the No.10 slot of the under-hood fuse/relay box. 37. Attach the 20A fuse label over the No.10 spot of the under-hood fuse/relay box cover. Reinstall the under-hood fuse/relay box cover. 40. Install the left fog light bracket on the front bumper with two 5 x 16 mm self-tapping screws. BUMPER 42. Install the 5 x 16 mm washer-screw and screw lock on the left fog light trim as shown. Install the fog light harness clip on the left fog light bracket. 5411250Y 41. Install the left fog light on the left fog light trim using two 4 mm step screws and one 4 x 8 mm washer-screw. Connect the fog light harness 2-pin connector to the left fog light. 5411240Y 45. Align the two retaining tabs on the left fog light with the corresponding positions of the front bumper and install the left fog light on the front bumper using the 5 x 16 mm washer-screw that you installed in step 44. 46. Routing the Switch Harness 47. Remove the driver s dashboard lower cover: 48. If equipped, remove the driver s dashboard under cover (the three clips, one pin and one holder). Remove the one self-tapping screw. Release the four clips on the left side first by pulling out on the driver s dashboard lower cover. After releasing the four clips, insert the flat-tip screwdriver between the clip and the dashboard frame. Gently twist the screwdriver to release the clip. HOLDER Release the two clips on the right side last. Unplug the vehicle connector, and remove the lower cover. CLIP (Release these clips first.) NOTE: If the fuse box 6-pin connector is already being used by another accessory, unplug the 6- pin connector from the under-dash fuse/relay box. Locate the 6-pin connector taped to the switch harness. Remove the dummy connector from switch harness. Plug the other accessory harness 6-pin into switch harness, and plug the switch harness 6-pin connector into the under-dash fuse/ relay box. 51. Behind the steering hanger pipe, locate the 2-pin connector blue-taped to the vehicle harness. Connect the switch harness 2-pin connector to the vehicle 2-pin connector. 2-PIN STEERING HANGER PIPE 6-PIN DUMMY OTHER ACCESSORY 6-PIN 2-PIN UNDER-DASH 2228021T 50. Route the switch harness 5-pin connector (blue) to the body panel opening alongside the vehicle harness. Secure the switch harness to the vehicle harness with one wire tie in the area shown. 5411350Y NOTE: If the 2-pin connector is already being used by another accessory, locate the 2-pin connector taped to that other accessory harness. Plug the switch harness 2-pin connector into the other accessory harness. 52. On the left of the steering shaft, locate the 3-pin connector black-taped to the vehicle harness, and plug the switch harness 3-pin connector in the 3-pin connector. 53. Secure the switch harness to the vehicle harness with six wire ties in the areas shown. 3-PIN STEERING SHAFT 3-PIN 2228072T NOTE: If the 3-pin connector is already being used by another accessory, locate the 3-pin connector taped to that other accessory harness. Remove the dummy connector from that other accessory harness. Plug the switch harness 3-pin connector into the other accessory harness. 54. Remove the switch lid from the driver s side dashboard lower cover, and install the fog light switch in the driver s dashboard lower cover. 55. If equipped, reinstall the driver s dashboard under cover. HOLDER 57. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properly and all connectors are plugged in. 58. Reinstall all removed parts. Check that all clips and fasteners are installed securely. 59. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. USE AND CARE How to Operate Fog Lights Turn the light switch to the on position (headlights on low beam ). Press the fog light switch (indicator is on). The fog light lenses can cloud when the outside temperature is cold; this is normal and should go away in warm weather. Fog Light Aiming Adjustment CLIPS (3) DRIVER S DASHBOARD UNDER COVER 56. Plug the switch harness 5-pin connector (blue) into the fog light switch, and plug the two vehicle connectors then reinstall the dashboard lower cover. 5-PIN OF (BLUE) PIN 2205020T 60. Adjust the fog light: Adjust the aiming according to local laws and regulations. To adjust, turn the aiming adjustment screw in or out until the correct aiming is obtained. 61. Reset the clock, and reset the radio station presets. 62. Do the ECU idle learn procedure. Make sure all electrical items are turned off. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm with no load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on. Let the engine idle for about 5 minutes with the throttle fully closed and with all electrical items off. NOTE: If the radiator fan comes on during this step, the time when it is operating must not be included in the 5 minutes. NOTE: When The Battery Terminals Are Disconnected: Remaining Capacity of the IMA Battery is not indicated when the engine is started. It will be indicated after driving for about 30 minutes. At that time, regeneration will be lowered temporarily, but this is normal. NOTE: Whenever the battery is disconnected, the driver s window AUTO function is disabled. 63. Start the engine. Push down on the driver s window switch until the window is fully open. 64. Pull up on the driver s window switch fully to close the window completely, then hold the switch for 2 seconds or more. 65. Test the driver s window AUTO function. BULB REPLACEMENT 1. Loosen the screw through the hole of the left fog light trim and pull the left fog light garnish toward you. 2. Disconnect the fog light harness 2-pin connector and remove the left fog light from the front bumper. SCREW BUMPER 3. Remove the bulb. 4. Install the new bulb into the socket. Use only a genuine Honda halogen light bulb of specified wattage. Rating: 12V 55W H11 Halogen Light Bulb P/N 33165-S5A-003 Do not touch the bulb. Oily or greasy substances on the bulb can shorten its service life due to the heat produced when the bulb is turned on. If the bulb is accidentally touched, wipe it clean with a soft cloth that has been dampened with a denatured alcohol or a mild detergent solution. Align the tab on the fog light with the cutout in the bulb when installing the new bulb. If not aligned, the fog light may annoy oncoming drivers. SOCKET NEW BULB 5411400Y 5. Reinstall the removed parts in the reverse order of removal. Check that the wire harnesses are not pinched. Be sure to tighten the self-tapping screw and bolts securely. 6.
