Electro-hydraulic pit covers for lateral working pits Electro-hydraulic pit covers allow repairing and maintaining the body of vehicles, trams, etc. while standing on rails. This enables workers to walk safely above these pits. The lateral working pits are equipped with hinged profile grated covers. In this version the pit covers are electro-hydraulically opened and closed. The swivel mechanism, however, also allows to open the grates, when vehicles are standing above the pit. Once the pit covers are opened and locked in 90 -position, the grates serve as fall protection. The gratings are individually controlled that enables parallel working at the same time, as the gratings can be lifted hydraulically into the vertical position in the whole row or single parts of it. Lifting platforms for lateral working pits Maintenance tasks at rail vehicles Within the lateral working pits, hydraulically working scissor-type lifting tables are installed. In closed condition all scissor-type lifting tables are extended and protected by hydraulically operated bolts. The surface of the top scissor of the lifting platform is flat on the floor and it is possible to drive on it, but it also provides working possibilities laterally at the vehicle. In opened condition, several working levels are provided. Thus, the maintenance staff reaches optimal viewing and working height to carry our inspection works. Lifting platforms Electro-hydraulic pit covers Turn device for bogies Different types of bogies are clamped on these special rotating devices and during operation they are tilted by ± 45. This turn device is used for maintenance, cleaning, repair, painting and service tasks. The device is operated hydraulically-driven. The stop positions are protected by mechanical interlocking, even for pipeline damage. Lift and turn devices Gear turn device The turn device for gears is used for the safe positioning of gears during dismantling and installation work for vehicle repairs. For all tasks, the turn device can be turned in a safe and protected position. Lift and turn device for spring carrier The spring carrier is clamped on this device, for example for leak test purposes. Then it will be filled with anti-corrosive oil up to a pressure of 10 bars by means of a hydraulic pump unit. After the pressure test the oil is pumped out again. In order to drain the remaining oil, the spring carrier on the device is tilted around its longitudinal axis (x-axis) and turned around the z- axis. Hereby, the admissible load capacity for the lift and turn device is 1,000 kg. Turn station The turn station allows to turn gears up to a dead weight of 800kg by 360 during the installation. Stopping is possible in every position and it is protected twice by motor and by pneumatic brake. The turning stand can be installed into an oil collection pan. Thanks to adapters, different gears can be installed. Time and cost saving clamping technology Draining of remaining oil by tilting and turning Easy handling High working comfort Tilt device This device tilts transformers with variable dimensions between (L x W x H) 1,000mm x 500mm x 300mm up to a maximum size of 2,500mm x 2,200mm x 900mm and a mass of 20t by 90. For the installation resp. repair, the transformers are positioned on four adjustable supporting points, protected by tension belts and tilted by 90. The complete device can be transported by means of a crane or an 8t forklift truck. 8 9

Moreover, the wheel sets can be lifted to ergonomic height for different operations, such as repair, maintenance, painting or cleaning. Driven contour rollers allow to rotate the wheel set in order to reach every position of the wheel set during different operations. Handling of wheel sets Wheel set changing installation The wheel set changing installation is used to lift the wagon (up to. 25 t) and to discharge the dismantled wheel sets. It is driven via a belt driven spindle-type lifting gear. The traversing is controlled via remote control. ADVANTAGES high lifting height at low equipment size Roll stand for wheel sets The roll stand is used to rotate wheel sets with or without gear for inspection and repair work. Four profile rollers, one of them is driven, support the wheel set. The rotational speed of the wheel set is variable-speed (between 2 and 12 rpm). The driven wheel set shaft is horizontally positioned and manually turned. Roll device for individual MT wheel inspection The mounting device is used for non-destructive examinations during wheel maintenance for the assembly, guidance and rotation of the wheel discs during the magnetic particle testing. For this purpose, the wheel discs are supported in upright position on the device, where they are safely guided laterally, while being set into regular rotation. The rotational speed is stepless variable (from 2 to 12 rpm). 12 13

Transport carriages Transport racks Pre-installation and transport carriage The carriage is used for the installation of hightension and control current channels at bogies of rail vehicles. Mounting crossbars, tailored channels, compressed air vessels and other components are exactly positioned on the carriage, driven below the body of the rail vehicle and there they are assembled. The transport carriage has got a length of 20 m and is 3 m wide. It is equipped with steerable and lockable axes on both sides. Installation carriage The installation carriage is used to transport a maximum of four lateral underground elements and for their interior finishing. The segments are taken out of the painting station by means of a special traverse and then they are positioned in the installation carriage. Here they are completed with windows and interior fittings. The position of the sidewall elements on the carriage exactly corresponds to the later position at the body, so that it is also possible to assemble the sidewalls with the traverse. Transport rack for wheel discs suitable for rail transport The transport rack for wheel discs suitable for rail transport is used to carry and transport four wheel discs. They are offset and thus accessible for painting work. The transport rack provides good access from all sides and can be lifted from the rail system by crane or forklift truck. Transport rack for driven wheel sets suitable for rail transport The transport rack for driven wheel sets suitable for rail transport is used to carry and transport one set of driven wheels. The wheel set is positioned on the wheel discs on rollers in order to allow repair and painting work. The transport rack provides good access from all sides and can be lifted from the rail system by crane or forklift truck. Transport carriage for bogies The carriage is used for internal transport of bogies with a weight up to 20MP. It is equipped with two lockable turntable. Every wheel is equipped with a fixing brake, which is operated by means of a manual crank. Gas pressure spring provide the weight relief for the two drawbars. The load securing is ensured by two infinitely variable brake shoes on the loading surface. They are equipped with a contour protecting the wheel tyres. Stackable transport rack for wheel set axles The racks are used to transport and store each two driven wheel set axles with assembled bull gear. The driven wheel set axles are safely positioned and fixed. The racks can be stacked and transported by crane or forklift truck. Transport/storage rack for driven wheel set components The racks are used to transport and store complete assembly groups of special roller bearings and the corresponding components of driven wheel sets. The components and assembly groups are picked up and protected in horizontal direction. The racks can be stacked and transported by crane or forklift truck. 14 15

This device is used to dismantle friction rings from wheel set axles, e.g. for upgrade works The complex design of the device allows to use it even for the assembly of new/upgraded rings up to a friction wheel distance of 480mm. The pull-off device is a mobile unit to pull off the bearings of different wheel sets of rail-guided vehicles. Exact positioning of the device according to the axle height of the wheel set is provided. A pull-off basket hydraulically pulls the bearing onto the screwed extension. All load handling devices incl. inspection log book Customized special designs The hydraulic system is controlled via remote control on a balancer. Accessories such as pull-off jaws and extensions are available for different types. The pull-off device works with an operating pressure of 160 / 700bar and creates a power of 3 x 218kN with an electrical power of 1.1KW. Further versions for pull-off devices are also provided, e.g. to pull off and slide on support blocks of stabilizers. Further examples for load handling devices 16 17

Universal clamping device for sidewalls with pneumatic and hydraulic clamping The universal clamping device is used to join and clamp aluminium profiles of sidewalls for trains, trams, etc. The individual profiles are put into the device, aligned, joined and finally clamped by pneumatic tensioner and vacuum suction units. The rear side of the welded sidewalls can also be welded in this device after mechanic and hydraulic adjustment. Magnetic clamping device for car-body roof segments The device is used for laser welding of roof segments for rail vehicles. Thereby the outer vehicle contour will be shaped. The pre-manufactured aluminium profiles are electromagnetically and PLC-controlled clamped. Mounting parts are positioned by pneumatically operated clamping units. The Aluminium profiles are equipped outside the laser welding cabin and then the device moves into the cabin on rails, where the automatic laser welding works are performed.
