Can provide Roadside assistance or provide onsite repairs and maintenance to Heavy Machinery at Mine site locations or any location in the Weipa region, at any time. Onsite, we have a fully equipped Heavy Equipment Maintenance Workshop with a highly skilled and experienced team of Diesel Fitters and Mechanics. Each member of the team having more than 20 year s post trade experience in the mining and civil industries. Delivery performance and reliability Northern Haulage & Diesel Services have established strong business partnerships in the Cape York region, have a proven track record in maintaining a high safety standard and delivering quality services meeting all the customer s requirements. As a result, in early 2015, Rio Tinto renewed all current contracts with NHDS. NHDS has recently requalified and continues as preferred supplier to Rio Tinto Weipa for Equipment and Labour Hire. Our versatility in services we offer, along with our competitive quotes, has also made us preferred supplier to Wallis Drilling, a nationally known drilling company. MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Safety Management System Northern Haulage & Diesel Services are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and have a well developed Health and Safety Management System. Our safety documentation is published internally using MS SharePoint and our Health & Safety Policy and Procedures are implemented by our onsite Workplace, Health & Safety Officer. Our Induction process has also been streamlined, with NHDS conducting Drug & Alcohol testing internally, having had our Workplace, Health & Safety Officer trained, qualified and authorised by Rio Tinto to carry out the testing. Quality Assurance System Northern Haulage & Diesel Services utilise ISO 9000 standards and policies as a guideline to give priority to customer focus, to produce quality systems and to assist our teams to achieve our business objectives as well as that of our client s. Our electronic Document Management system also ensures that electronic records are created, managed and backed up on a regular basis. This system allows for information accessibility, business enhancement and improvement. It also protects the rights and interests of the organisation, our teams and our clients. Environment Management System Northern Haulage & Diesel Services have implemented an Environmental Policy that aims to cover environmental concerns and impacts, as defined in Environment Protection Act 1994. This includes environmental protection, waste management, recycling, energy conservation, heritage protection and aestheticism. ISO 14000 standards and policies have been used as guiding tools for policy development.
